I have to take an emergency trip out of town for several days, but I DO have the CD's (3 different ones--and plenty of them) so don't hesitate to contact me to get them from me!! I won't be around the pc, but I'll be back soon. If I can't get rid of them, I will donate them to my PH club.

I do encourage everyone to at the very least, listen to his talent....After you have heard him (oh, how I love his first one) you will be so blessed! Anyhoo, it's been fun to free McAnally.

Each store that I have been to they just stare at me wondering, "what the heck????"

Regardless, let's keep this thread alive and well, Mac Pack-ers.

I am back... Emergency trip 600 miles away... and you will never guess what I did!!!!

Stopped at a bunch of DollarTree Stores. Each store that I went to, had them. Some only had one title.. but, all in all, I found many, Mac McAnally (first one) second CD, "No Problem Here" and thirdly, which is his second to the last CD "Word of Mouth."

I purchased a lot of them, and they need homes. I will throw this out to the Cyber Kingdom, if you want one, I will sell them for a buck, just send me a self addressed envelope that will hold a CD...

Truthfully, they are out there. (Mason just didn't dig far enough)

So, just for grins... where did we all find Mac.. what states, etc???

I know this isn't exactly JB discussions, but it's important!! ha ha...

I found mine from the Pacific Ocean (Newport, OR) all the way to Boise Idaho...

Found Word of Mouth (last one too) in Tinley Park, IL. Didn't see any others.
Searching is half the fun: life is much more manageable when thought of as a scavenger hunt as opposed to a surprise party.

Mac in Naples

Post by chris772807 »

Our family was at Marco Island last week and were eating dinner in Naples. We stopped in at a Dollar Tree and I was lucky enough to find two Mac cds for $1 each. I don't know which is better. Getting two cds for $2 or seeing Buffett front row in Indy and having him sign two items for me. I definitely know which one was cheaper!! :D

Although many of his CDs carry that "Compact Price" moniker, it isn't that compact. Not to bring up the dreaded artwork debate again that bugs many people, but think about it. You have to pay $9-13 bucks for 80s CDs that contain un-remasted program and barely any artwork at music and department stores, but then you go to the dollar store and find a HDCD from 1999 with complete graphics and lyrics included. Go figure.

I'm really enjoying the self-titled Mac album (that's all they have at my Dollar Tree). Favorite tracks include "It's a Crazy World" "Alive" and "We Can Be Strong Together". This album is too good for the dollar store IMO, but that's the record label's loss.

While in Memphis, Tn last night, I saw a Dollar Tree Store, never been in one, but I thought of BB, so I went in and as luck would have it found one for $1.00 so Mac has been freed in one Memphis Dollar Tree. By the way I enjoyed listening to it. Mac is a fine talent.

But it's not as great as it seems because i've heard that the lp version of Mac's first album has one more song that's not on the cd called "Over The Rainbow". I can't confirm this as i don't have the lp, but i know of a store here that has it and i'm gonna buy it this weekend. I'll let everyone know if this is true or not.

I read that too on an Amazon review. I'm asuming it's a cover of the classic Wizard of Oz soundtrack tune and maybe they had to remove it due to copywrite issues. Either that or the people in charge of the CD issue made a boo-boo. Or, like you said, it could be untrue altogether.
