I have been to a lot of Buffett concerts and this one Saturday night was the best ever. I really liked the song list it was what I have been waiting for a long time. The old stuff. I agree with everyone on here the parking lot a Lakewood was unruly. Why don't the police card all these people and get them out of there. We were riding around on a golf cart and I myself could tell who was under 21. Everyone better get ready because if it keeps on like this there will not be anyway we will be able to get in that parking until later that day. I was also told to tell my group that they would be taking all glass bottles away from you. So, we did not bring the Corona this year and saw everyone walking around with glass. Lakewood needs to get their act together. Oh, I am a first timer with you guys.

Perhaps the answer may be that you have to show you have a ticket to the show to park in the parking lots.

I know for a FACT that a large number of people on the lots DID NOT have tickets. They just came to party and drink. And many were underage.

My friend has a daughter that is 16. Some of her friends decided to go to the tailgate party at Lakewood on Thursday. Now these kids (16 & 17) were not Buffett fans, but just wanted to go to a party. My friend told her daughter that she could not go and had no business going in the first place. I do not know all the details, but one of the friends that DID end up going got stabbed in the neck with a broken beer bottle.

Perhaps if only concert-goers with tickets were allowed in the parking lot 1. there would be more room and 2. Maybe, (and I said maybe) it would cut down on the unruly people in the general crowd.

GaBuff(y): But, if they do that, then there cannot be a last minute decision to go and buy a ticket in the lot. I understand what you're sayin', but... I'm still mulling over trying to go to Cincy & if they don't let me in the lot without a ticket, there's no point in going down there. I'm telling you, they need something like what is at the airports, only instead of being a metal detector, it beeps and flashes at doo-doo heads (of all ages). I really don't think we can solve this one. Put our faith in people & hope we only run into nice ones. ^^'s up!

...indecision may or may not be my problem...

Ohio - They can sell extra tickets outside the lot. They were doing that this year at Lakewood.

...like I said, I don't know the solution...how do you make people act like human beings? Just having a ticket won't do that either...donchu know...

^^'s up phriend!!

I thought JB said in response to the good-natured booing when he attempted to throw in some culture (his poem before Gypsies), "You people from Alabama don't have to listen." We are from VA and I didn't get the joke when he started laughing and saying he was in trouble now, but luckily we took along my husband's cousin & her hubby currently staioned in Montgomery. They explained that Georgians pick on those from Alabama like Virginians poke fun at West Virginians.
Show was good - missed the Hemisphere Dancer - quite a sight when she flies over as in San Diego! Clint Black is fitting in and seems to be having fun, but I still miss Fingers. It was terific to see Mac back on Saturday - we also caught his show on Friday at the Variety Playhouse. "Looking Back" is an interesting song, especially when you hear the scenario that inspired it as told by Mac. Fingers was there Fri evening and so was Peter Mayer. Mac & Pater talked with the crowd and gave autog., but Fingers blurted out that he still needed that ride to the airport Sat. morning to let us know he wouldn't be at the big show. Does anyone know what happened with Fingers & JB?
Saw some pretty creative stuff in the parking lot (loved the motorized bar stool) on Sat. & idn't see any fights or guns (thank goodness). We weren't even frisked where we entered which surprised me having been patted down at Nissan. Sounds like some real jerks at another entrance.
Come to think of it, I haven't heard JB mention next year at Nissan or Hotlanta - I'll be listening more carefully at Merriweather. There is hope - remember there is a line about 2001 (:
