Mr. Biggins- I do recall playing with this exact band in 1980 when Barry Chance could only play slide guitar. It seemed that Barry had a pitched nerve in his back and it affected his the fingers on his left band. It was so painful all he could do was to put a slide on his little finger and play slide all night. They called me to come out and play electric rhythm all night and that is how I got the job playing with Buffett. So add another name to that list. Josh Leo

I prefer the 1980 version before the dancers and stage props starting taking away from what brought me to the shows in the first place: the music. I know they've done a couple of dates with Buffett so far but I'd love to see a tour featuring Bill Payne on keys and Sonny Landreth on slydeco geetar.

Oh the older band no question...the current musicians are fine ...but I remember JB before all the dancers, props, etc. Just him and his band playing his older songs ......no question in my mind :D

Hey Josh! May I have your autograph? You were awsome in "Live By The Bay". I am serious though, if I gave you my address, would you send me an autograph? It would be the only true Coral Reefer autograph I have.

I really like what Mac brings to the band, so I'll got with 2005. Though you can't go wrong with either group.

I liked them better in the 80's as well, more my lifestyle and kind of music then most of the newer stuff...but they are still AWESOME!

Musically they are much better now but I too like the scaled down stuff!

I enjoy both the 1980's and the 2005 Reefers. However, I'd pick the 1980s band. Back then it seems like it was all about the music and the stories. Today, it seems like it is all about the show.

As musicians, I think its hard to compare since it is 2 completely different eras. I do miss the harmonica in Jimmy's music. Growing up that is one of things that I thought made Jimmy's music unique. I'd love to see him add a strong harmonica player back to the band.

Also, I'd love to see a CRB concert sans props, costumes, etc.
