I was really impressed with Alltell - MUCH better overall than Charlotte last year and MPP up in MD - the venue, the people, EVERYTHING. Plus, JB gave us the show of a lifetime - took two virgins to the show, and they are now committed Parrotheads - can't ask for a better break in the week!

Just got home from Raleigh. Made the trip from MB with our local Parrothead club. Alltell was a great venue and Jimmy and the Reefers were excellent. The whole venue was juiced and everybody was enjoying the feeding frenzy. Meeting all the people and hearing Bubba live makes the world a better place. Time to catch up on some sleep.
Peace!

Going to MPP tomorrow and Sat. Have front row seats for both shows. Can't wait. This will be my 15th and 16th concert. Saw him in June at the e-centre in Camden. Parking lot party is much better in Camden - but will make the most of MPP. I sure hope he comes back next year - it is what I look forward to all winter. You pholks on this board are great - keep up the great banter. I'll let you know what Thur. and Sat. were like when I get back.

You are VERY LUCKY!! How did you manage those seats? Inquiring minds want to know. Had third row last year at Walnut Creek--had front row back in the 80's at the Dean Smith Center. Didn't think I was going to be there at all this year until someone came through with tickets (face value!) at the twelfth hour. Seats were not in the "gold circle," but I was just glad to be there!! Have fun at MPP and let us know what it was like up close and in person! Take care phriend.

Hi Ph & Tk-
Getting old has it's advantages & disadvantages. My Godfather is 72 and has Parkinson's desease. They seat the handicapped who don't need a wheelchair in the first row. He is a true parrothead and this will be his 15th and 16th concert in 4 years. I think they call these the "Golden Years". We will be partying in the handicapped parking section and would love to meet anyone in the area. Phins up and we are looking forward to 2 great concerts.

Was in Raleigh August 22 and Jimmy was great!! It would be nice if the parakeets would stay home and I don't mean the kids but those that are there just to be seen and don't know any of the songs. How can you sit the entire time at a Buffett concert??? True parrotheads had a blast no doubt. May Bubba return many, many more times!!

I went to my first Jimmy concert at Nissan Pavillion back in June and what a show! After a delay because of some BAD thunderstorms capped with a huge double rainbow, it was non stop party. There is a slight chance I may be able to go this Saturday, but the seats will be lawn as opposed to the regular seats I had last time. Can anyone that's done both describe what it's like back there???

Went to concert in Raleigh the other night..my 11th one, (after a 12yr break..my husband doesn't feel the same way as me)..anyway, what a blast!!! will not miss any future ones..when i lived in miami, only saw him at smaller venues (gusman, YOU HAD TO BE THERE, etc.), so it was fun to be with 30,000 PHs...took my sister in law, who has never seen him, and she loved it also..will take her to all future ones!! Well worth 2 hr drive from Wilmington.
JB is great, and gets better with age!!!
