Oreo Treats

Post by mommar »

I found this recipe and thought some here might enjoy

1 entire pkg. Oreo cookies
1 8oz. pkg. cream cheese
1-2 containers of melting choc. (yes they do make it in dip-able containers now)
Put the entire package of Oreos in a food processor until crumbs.
Add cream cheese until well blended.
chill
After chilled, ball into truffle size portions and dip in melted choc.
re-chill. and store in fridge

You can drizzle with white choc. afterward
You can use the mint oreos
you can try using the Nutter Butter cookies & see how that works.
You can use raspberry choclate chips instead of chocolate

I haven't tried it yet.........maybe this weekend.

Enjoy :)

A friend of mine made these for Thanksgiving.

OH MY GOODNESS ARE THEY GOOD!!!!!

One trick though, they melt very quickly if they aren't refrigerated. Oh, and she used both milk and white chocolate.

hee hee, your oreo radar must have been working especially well to find this so fast [smilie=battingeyes.gif] [smilie=battingeyes.gif] .

Try chilling the nekkid balls and then dipping them in melted chocoolate (like chocolate chips), they might harden a little better and be a little more stable out of the fridge. They would still need to be refridgerated, but can sit a room temp for a bit longer.

I have an easy recipe for chocolate chip cookie dough truffle balls if anyone wants- let me know I will post.
