Let's see. My mom is doing Thanksgiving this year, so she's doing all the cooking for that, but I am cooking the gluten-free portion which includes a gluten-free turkey, stuffing, mashed taters, dinner rolls, and pumpkin pie. Potatoes don't have gluten normally, but trying to keep them free of contamination in a gluten environment is tricky around a hectic meal preparation.

Deep Fried Turkey and Smoked Leg of Lamb! We are doing ours on the 28th this year because of family coming in town. So on the 26th I think the BBQ Ribs or Chili sounds good, cause all the girls will want to go to the movies in the afternoon. Then get ready for Black Friday and the boys and I will Drink and watch football.
We also are going to try a new pie out this year we saw on food network, a pumpkin-banana cheese cake!

Eating with my sister and family on Wednesday...prolly the usual Turkey dinner described by several above.

On T-day we will be visiting my aunt in her assisted living facility and prolly going to a restaurant. Several around here offer some good sounding dinners...and with just us it wouldn't be worthwhile to make the whole dinner thingie.

Whatever I can catch anchored off Cayo Costa for the weekend, if the fishing sucks then the backup plan is burgers on the grill or a dingy ride to Cabbage Key

With cream cheese/walnut mix. I also LOVE peanut butter with celery. I put off trying it for a long time because it just didn't sound....right.

stuffing
green bean casserole
cranberry mousse ( our tradition)
sweet potatoes
rolls
olives
pumpkin soup
butternut squash soup (both go with the cold turkey sandwiches the next day very well)
mini quiches
custard pie
impossible pumpkin pie

and lots and lots of left overs. Which is what we wanted

Penny, what's in the stuffing? Almost looks like it could be some chestnuts in there.

Nada. :) It's a basic dressing recipe that came from my fathers' mother. All it contains is bread, Jimmy Dean sausage, margarine, sage, thyme, poultry seasoning, pepper, onion powder, and celery. :D
