Nadirah at Lulu's for New Years Eve

Nadirah Shakoor is performing again this year at Lulu's Homeport in Gulf Shores, Alabama for New Years Eve. Here's the details:

We attended last year and had a blast. She performed with the Juke Joint Duo. This year she is performing with Outsider Art who we saw at M'ville NOLA last May with special guest Sonny Landreth.

I read that there was a video of Jimmy sited at Lulu's on December 7.

I heard on the coconut telegraph that Jimmy Buffett was at his sister's restaurant and bar known as Lulu's On the Intracoastal Waterway in Gulf.

Z-Man, How was the show? Did she do any of her material from Nod to the Story Teller? What was the set like? What did she perform with John Frinzi and John Patti? We got our tickets to NYE so we are getting excited. We found a nice La Quinta about a mile away for $60. We can't wait for 2010!

The show was wonderful
she is an amazing performer, and it was good to hear her as the lead singer instead of as backup.

John and John were her band for the evening; she sang, they supported
she sang a little of everything; some Buffett, some Christmas songs, some other things

We wanted to share a few pics of our experience at Lulu's on New Years Eve with Nadirah Shakoor. Lulu and her staff always do a wonderful job. Katie took care of our reservations and even reserved the same table that we had last year. John, our server, was right there anytime we needed anything. Thank you and great job! And of course Nadirah and her band, Outsider Art, were excellent! Thank you all for a wonderful end to a funky year.
