jokelben.us m4a or mp3
Any idea why some of the shows have been converted to .m4a?

Hmm, don't know. I have always posted mp3 shows since the format can be played on virtually any device. What show were converted? Are the original mp3 files still up? The m4a format is the Apple lossless mpeg4 audio only stream. It's supposed to have better compression and still sound good, but I don't know how many non-apple devices can play it.

interestingly enough, no, the mp3s are not there. someone converted the existing shows.
Oh... and FYI to all. the server crashed. Lunarpages is working on restoring right now.

Haha! It's a pretty good app for browsing the forum when I'm at w*rk or away from the PC. Quicker than setting up the laptop and tethering. I guess I could change or remove the signature line.tigzoe wrote:There is the geek I know and loveSunLover wrote:Hmm, don't know. But it works as a good excuse for any misspellings or syntax errors. "What? I misspelled Buffffett? Dang virtual keyboard!"

That gives me major phone envy. How do you like the Maxx? I upgrade my X next month and that phone gets me all sorts of excited in the right places.SunLover wrote:

the battery life alone is worth it
blows everything else away .....
HDMI out (get the dock)
and with an unlimited data plan
4G LTE speeds
I can watch streaming Netflix,
talk for hours on hours,
text, web browse ALL DAMB DAY
and barely make a dent in the battery life.
Can NOT recommend enough. Get it. Upgrade. Get it.

Not much more I can add to that review. The batt life is one of the main reasons why I got this phone. So many more devices no longer have removable batteries. I upgraded from a Droid 2 with a removable extended batt that I could swap out as needed.surfpirate wrote:Best ..... Damb ..... Phone .... evah .....buffettbride wrote:That gives me major phone envy. Can't beat the 4g speeds! With an android FTP app, I can upload an entire Buffett show in about 10 minutes (compare to about 70 minutes on DSL).
I have not played with Netflix or HDMI yet (got the cable only since the dock won't work with Otterbox installed).
I would also recommend this phone when your upgrade time comes up.
