Looking to add some JB acoustic jams to my collection. It is my favorite when Jimmy ends the show solo or with just Mac and jams out bar style.
My question is - was it welcome to Finland where he did 3-4 acoustic songs in the middle? I am not talking about what he currently does now when he comes back from intermission.
Any help would be great!

Re: Acoustic Sets
Jimmy has not been taking intermissions for the last 3 or 4 tours he plays 12 songs then takes a 3 minute break while Nadirah sings a song then Jimmy comes back and goes into the acoustic part of the show. There is a 2 CD set that Jimmy released called "Encores" which are the encores recorded during the 2008 tour, the CD set contains 22 tracks.FinsUp6835 wrote:Looking to add some JB acoustic jams to my collection. Re: Acoustic Sets
If memory serves, there were some Stephen Talkhouse shows from back in the early 00's that are all acoustic but as best I can recall, the sound quality was poor at best. I believe he also performed with Jerry Jeff at one of his birthday bashes in or around Austin a few years back that's all acoustic.
There's also the time that Buffett and Fingers were on Texas Connection (which was hosted by Jerry Jeff Walker) on TNN back in 1992. For more details on that performance, click here.

Yes - thank you. I meant "song intermission." It has been a pee intermission for me the last 15 years
. I miss the longer breaks - more time!
I found some from the end of Finland. I think it's when he was prepping for the acoustic set at jazz fest? I have worn out the encores cd -
Thanks, Tiki. That is good stuff. Sound quality is always tough to come by with those shows.i will look when I'm bored at work. A few months ago I got some shows from 74. I found if you lower the volume on iTunes - and just turn your speakers it helps with the sound a bit.

Re: Acoustic Sets
Your correct. I have the Stephen talk house show. My copy sound wise isn't horrible, but it isn't the best. It's a soundboard show, but has some technical drops if I remember correctly.Tiki Torches wrote:If memory serves, there were some Stephen Talkhouse shows from back in the early 00's that are all acoustic but as best I can recall, the sound quality was poor at best. Tend to agree, vocals are a little sketchy and distorted at times (they almost sound bricked), but better than some of the other boots I've been able do DL.jbfinscj wrote:Your correct.
