**Jokelben Server update with Important Information**

To all users of the Jokelben server:

Last week the owner of the server, bobtu, completed re-uploading and restoring the server after it's recent shutdown. Sunlover then uploaded the most recent 2014 shows in order to bring the server update.

After the above was done Sunlover and myself began the task of reviewing each folder on the server to see how each individual track was named in each folder. The motivation for this was partly due to comments posted here in the BN Concert Trading Forum about shows not loading correctly after being downloaded from the server. While the comments posted here in the forum were related to shows from 2008, I decided to to check all of the shows on the server and correct any file naming errors found. My initial check of the server revealed some 70 show folders in need of file naming repair so that each file in each folder has a track number and a full song title.

Renaming files is not the only issue that has been corrected, there are many shows on the server that in audio file formats other than MP3. These other formats include; FLAC, WMA (Windows Media Audio), MP4 and in one instance WAV format. While there is no problem with different audio file formats being on the server it is only fair that users know what a format a show is in before downloading. To that end all non MP3 format shows are now labeled as such in the label of the show's folder, this way it is clear what format a show is when first logging on to the server. The majority of the shows on the server are in fact in MP3 format thanks in large part to our #1 recorder and up-loader Sunlover.

Another issue discovered during the file naming renaming process was show folders having other folders nested or hidden in them. All of the hidden or nested folders were restored to the server's main directory, with the end result being some shows having multiple copies available for downloading. In fact a couple of shows have more then 3 copies on the server which is fine for the time being as the important thing is that there are no longer any hidden or nested folders on the server. Please Do Not combine or nest folders when downloading.

There were also a number of song files in the wrong folders and these have been corrected as well

There was a problem with the ID3 tags of the files. This is where the artist, title, and other info is stored, including the track number which many players use to sort the files. I will start working on these later tonight and post here when they are complete. I apologize for this omission.
