... jealous
I turned my heat off yesterday and I haven't had to turn it back on. When I got home from the beach, my thermostat said it was 68 inside. I opened my balcony door, it's up to 70 now.

I'm here, but not for long. I have to start catching up on the TV shows I DVR'd the last few days. They're not gonna watch themselves.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here

Another monument to ambivalence and apathy.

Hi All!!
A bit of a weird feeling today.
Last Friday one of the frigates I work on, HMAS Sydney, sailed into the harbour for the last time before she becomes a "harbour training vessel" and is then decommissioned later in the year.
I had to go on board today.
It was with real mixed feelings, as it will be one of the last times I will be on board.
Having said that she has given proud service for over 30 years. She and her crews can hold their heads up and be proud.
HMAS Sydney's official motto is "Thorough and Ready" but her unofficial motto is "BAD TO THE BONE". I know which I prefer!
