First of all, thanks for getting this out there. Now, a quick question (or two). I DL'd from Mega, and when I watched it using WM player, there was a significant delay between picture and sound. What did I do wrong? Could if have been due to the fact that I was watching it on our old crappy netbook that doesn't have the juice to properly play it back? I can copy it to another drive and watch it from my work laptop (can't download to it). Also, what would best way to copy this to a DVD to watch in DVD player be? (I have Nero, but I'm barely functional with it... :) )

I know that's a lot of questions, and I appreciate any thoughts/advice. Cheers!

For playback of the shows, we generally recommend VLC Media Player. The shows I have played on VLC have not had the audio sync issues that commonly occur with WMP. If you do have sync problems, you can adjust the audio back or forward to match the video.

[smilie=gt-happyup.gif] VLC Media Player is free and available for Windows, Mac, and Linux.

Setting up the video for DVD playback is a little involved, but it is not too difficult. It is not a process of simply burning the video to DVD. It has to be rendered to the DVD format. You mentioned you have Nero. What Nero product do you have? You need either Nero Video or Nero Platinum, which includes Nero Video.

You would need to launch Nero Video, then drop the concert video into the timeline. There, you can edit out parts that you don't want, such as the segments between any parking lot footage, Bing & Bong, and the main show. After that, you should be able to create a basic menu that will appear when you first load the DVD. After you get your menu created, you may be able to preview the DVD before burning the disc to make sure it works right.

The good thing is creating the DVD is a non-destructive process, which means you won't mess up the original concert video file. This allows you to practice as much as you want and build up your comfort level for creating DVDs.

It appears to be an issue with the way I've made the files. I had a hasten the April 24th show by about 2 seconds (approx 1 second, 900 miliseconds) however when I went and isolated the cut file from my master, for the April 24th show and remuxed the music into a new file, it worked flawlessly without delay. It appears to be stemming from my remuxing it into .ts files again as the masters are .ts files. For those whom are wondering the term remuxing stems from electronics. Its where you take two or more digital input signals and forwards the selected input into a single line.

I know that as of the key west show there is a new way YouTube does handle the live stream these shows. I will not go into the technical side of YouTube live streams as I have found that since I wrote my guide on how to Rip YouTube shows last year, it's become increasingly complex. The best way to explain is with an analogy of sorts while also explaining Cryptography.

Live streaming link method version 1, as I will call it was very simple to get the proper stream playlist file that the live streams use as I detailed in a post in another thread about 1 year ago. All I would have to do is play the link and use developer tools to get the playlist file. (The Developer Tools (DevTools for short), are a set of web authoring and debugging tools built into a web browser. The DevTools provide web developers deep access into the internals of the browser and their web application. Use the DevTools to efficiently track down layout issues, set JavaScript breakpoints, and get insights for code optimization.)

Live streaming link method version 2 was more of a simple substitution chipher. This means that each Latin letter is simply replaced with a new symbol. The script can be translated into English simply by learning each symbol, or by looking it up in a table. For the live streams it would be certain aspects of links that used percent-encoding that one who would know about URL Encoding (other name for percent encoding) can easily pick-up and also determining what link was needed to get to the playlist file.

Live streaming link method version 3 (current) is not for the faint of heart. Its more along the lines of an autokey cipher with the needed working knowledge of how websites work. In an autokey chipher to decode a message, the first symbol's value is translated directly into a character (0='A', 1='B', and so on). For the remaining letters, you subtract the previous symbol's numerical value. If the result is less than zero, you add 26. Then that number is converted into a character as before. That's the best way to put that as I am still working on a quick solution to method 3.

I will also say that the delays might of been adverted by myself, last year the turn over rate was 3-4 hours after the show, for the April 1st and 18th show, the turn overs were about 90 minutes. I will me more vigilant to fix the issues in the future.

I was remiss in never thanking you all for the advice and recommendations; haven't had a chance to go back and try again, but will try this week. Thanks again!
