The Boston Date is listed as Just The Eagles , plus it's at TD Garden. So , that's a good sign. But , here is a crazy thought. I don't know the Red Sox schedule. But , July 21st @ Fenway. He shows up to do a couple of songs with the Eagles. And , some of the Eagles Members show up to do a few songs with Jimmy.BottleofRum wrote: November 21, 2017 10:02 am Some dates released this morning. It appears the Eagles are touring with others depending on the date. In addition to Buffett they will also play with James Taylor for a few shows and Chris Stapleton and a few shows alone. The Boston date lists just the Eagles so I hope this keeps a Buffett GW stop on the agenda.

Re: Buffett and The Eagles
In a normal process this would be a very WOW moment but in our world we are probably over thinking it, me included. I have seen JB live 29 times and the Eagles 5, and I would not hesitate to see either again. The stadium shows are different for sure but for the Bands its a money/legacy thing, I think. I have heard JB mention opening for the Eagles in days gone by, so maybe its just a nostalgia kick in for both of the Bands. I don't feel either needs the other, success is already over the top so I came up with this scenario. Imagine being in a stadium with a 50,000 plus fan base, seeing two of Americas major music impact shows all for the price of one regular ticket. How bad can that really be? Oh by the way for the bands, its half the normal work, for twice the normal size crowd, and the same basic money, with aging Bands I'm sure that is a pleasant thought. My dilemma is does that count as half show or two full shows? Stadium shows, Its just too complicated!

Re: Buffett and The Eagles
According to the Set List database https://www.setlist.fm/setlists/eagles-6bd6bede.html the Eagles did 23 songs per show this fall. Jimmy Buffett has been at about 25 songs the past few years. Add in an opening act with time between each for stage changeovers that would mean a show that is about 5 1/2 + hours long. I don't think both Buffett and the Eagles will do full 20-23 song sets each, I think there will be more collaboration with both on stage at the same time for some songs with each doing shorter sets alone.

Re: Buffett and The Eagles
I was guessing an opening act would be about a 1/2 hour , Buffett about 1 hour and The Eagles about 90 minutes to 2 Hours. The start time is 7. That's just a guess.BottleofRum wrote: November 29, 2017 10:57 am According to the Set List database https://www.setlist.fm/setlists/eagles-6bd6bede.html the Eagles did 23 songs per show this fall. Re: Buffett and The Eagles
Buffett for one hour would be about 12-14 songs. So you'll get the 12 songs typical "hit" songs he plays at every show.
I am so happy the Boston stop for the Eagles doesn't include Buffett.

It doesn't matter to me because I am not going to any of these shows, but I respectively disagree. I think that jimmy will get a full set for this show.BottleofRum wrote: November 30, 2017 10:51 am Buffett for one hour would be about 12-14 songs. Again, when Chesney plays the stadium shows with another headliner, Zac Brown Band, Tim McGraw, Jason Aldean they pretty much get a full set.
I checked back and Jason Aldean played 19 songs when he toured with Kenny and Kenny did 21 songs which included an encore with Aldean.

Re: Buffett and The Eagles
Wee Tootsie and I have got our tickets for the Eagles and Jimmy Buffett at Hard Rock Stadium, Miami for April... travelling from Scotland to see Jimmy, so hoping he plays at least half-a-set. Have only ever seen him in Vegas (MGM Garden Arena - huge) and Paris (La Cigale - tiny) before, so looking forward to the "outdoor" stadium experience.
