Knowing that Jimmy Buffett is a fan of the Caribbean, I was wondering if anyone knew of any charity events or donations Jimmy made for the islands affected by Hurricanes Irma and Maria. I know he has restaurants, hotels, and resorts that must have been affected. I know Kenny Chesney was very active in the assistance with St John, and Tim Duncan was present in the USVI. Many people went to and donated to Puerto Rico relief efforts. I don't remember hearing much about Jimmy. Did I miss something?

If I were to guess, his donations, whatever they may have been, may have not been made public. From his history, this is usually the case.

Remember that Jimmy also had Singing for a Change - his own charity foundation. They are involved in many of the relief efforts - none of which are ever made public.

At the end of one benefit concert that he could not attend - he was playing somewhere else - he stated that he was donating $50,000 to Singing for a Change for the relief effort.
