I use face and body paint. Mike Holly is famous for stenciled numbers using black tempera paint. Stenciling must be practiced with a lightly loaded sponge brush or it will blob underneath the paper. Another media is an eyebrow marker. It's really black and easily controlled.hotrod270 wrote: February 25, 2019 7:21 pm What does everyone use for the concert markings to show how many concerts you been to.????

I don't use anything because I don't think anyone gives a $h!t how many concerts I've been to. Your mileage may vary.

I agree with LIPH. It's great if you've seen Jimmy before, but life is lived in the now. You're there with a whole bunch of other Parrotheads, Jimmy and the band is on stage, and the show's about to start. Get up on your feet and enjoy it.

I would like to see how many of those people could name more than 30 Jimmy songs.

I know at lot of those number people. They could name a lot more then 30. All of them i've met , are good people. Most aren't on BN though. A few are , but not frequent visitors.FinsUp6835 wrote: February 27, 2019 12:35 pmI agree.SMLCHNG wrote: February 26, 2019 9:38 pmDitto.LIPH wrote: February 26, 2019 2:55 pm I don't use anything because I don't think anyone gives a $h!t how many concerts I've been to. Re: concert #
One year I wrote in magic marker on sheets of construction paper the city and the year of each show I had been to. I then taped them around the edge of my tent.
I honestly don't keep a PRECISE log so it was mostly a good guess.
It was cool to do ONCE and I'm glad I did it.
But in the end, no one really cared so those who said 'No one cares' were probably right

Re: concert #
Probably all true. I guess I was referring to more of the newbies who just do it to do it.
Though, who am I to judge?! Whatever floats your boat.
Maybe I am getting older (34) and have been going to Jimmy since I was 15 but a lot of the crowd is young, annoying, and only maybe know five songs.
They seem to just be there for the party and could careless about the music. The tailgates are ALWAYS fun and a good time and def. part of the experience. But I go to see Jimmy play music because thats why I began to follow him in the first place. I have said this on here before but I am still holding out hope for a rare songs tour that is played at small venues before its all said and done. Though Jimmy is starting to get up in age and these types of shows are probably much harder for him now so it might not happen. I am just happy he is still touring with the band and putting good vibes out in the world. We need more of those IMO.
Have a great day. FINS UP.

Re: concert #
I agree on the young crowds , i'm much Older ( 57). The problem is the younger crowd( not all) are there for the tailgate , and to get drunk. GW started a policy a few years ago , where they check tickets as you enter the lot. Good to keep people out who are there to just party , bad for those of us , who like to get there tickets , the day of the show , at the box office ( I want great seats for the show) to check for drops. The other issue now with GW , we use to have a 8AM lot opening , now it's 1PM. So yes , some ruined it for the rest of us. I'd love to hear a rare songs tour. Small venues are great to see him in. More intimate , and not a bad seat ( or stand). I saw him at HofB and it was great.FinsUp6835 wrote: March 7, 2019 7:43 am Probably all true.
