I'm so tired of those stooped Lincoln commercials.... I don't know if I can see the movie!

SPH, I agree. I can’t stand those commercials but this character is far from that guy. Hopefully Matthew channels a real beach bum in this flick.

Here's a question for you. Has Matthew McConaughey ever made a movie that the director didn't find a way to make him take his shirt off? Of course it obviously will happen in this thing. Every time my wife and I have gone to a Matt movie I bet her that he will take his shirt off. I've never lost But she loves it.

I don't mind going to a bad movie as I'm a senior and get a pretty good ticket price where we go. What bothers me is that I drop a paycheck at the danged concession stand while watching the junk. And my wife eats like a lumberjack to boot. I take a Snickers bar in and I'm done. A theater manager once told me that they didn't make that much off the movies. The bucks came for the concessions. They've made plenty off of me.

Somebody should write a song...

Take for example when you go to the movies these days
You know, they try to sell you this jumbo drink
Eight extra ounces of watered down cherry coke for an extra twenty five cents
I don't want it, I don't want that much organization in my life
I don't want other people thinking for me
I want my Junior Mints where did the Junior Mints go in the movies
I don't want a twelve pounds Nestle's crunch for twenty five dollars
I want Junior Mints (or maybe I'll just have a Snickers)

Jimmy and Hollywood do not mix. Plain and simple. His acting sucks, the songs he writes for movies s***, the movies he has been in s***... I know that none of what he does should be taken seriously. After all it is only Hollywood and I am sure he is just having fun. But my God, how many crappy things is he going to be involved with? :pirate:

Hook was cute and a good kids film.
I may be remembering something better than it was though. I won tickets to the premier and sat in a theater with Jimmy and most of the Reefers and the cast from the movie.

Haven't been to a movie theater in decades but I'll watch it if it comes around on cable.
You only have two options - havin' fun or freakin' out...

Jimmy was hardly the lead character, and had even less to do with the story than the make and model of Peter Banning's cell phone.
Winning tix to the premiere must have been cool, though.... although I'll bet they took great pains in keeping people like Robin Williams, Julia Roberts, Dustin Hoffman, and the other actors separate from the rest of the audience.

Now why does this sound familiar? Hmmm.
