It’s time…keep the party going.

It’s July 26, and we’re in the midst of our first summer without him. It’s been a tough year. Winter in the U.P. will always be a little more difficult than the anticipation he gave us before…But, I’ve never stopped listening. Like you all, throughout these months I’ve smiled, laughed, and cried often, as songs and certain memories flooded my mind.

I’m happy though, the magic remains for me. My wife and I are driving 10+ hours to Cincy for August 4. We’ll do it just like before..pre concert parties, the tailgate, the one day release — a vaccine for the winter to come. Except, this time he’ll be in spirit alongside us.

Reefers, if you’re listening…throw a few rarities, a few from the new album, and a lot of energy into this. It’s going to be emotional as hell, but I sure hope this isn’t a 3 show thing and that’s it. Tour. Please. Even if it’s limited. I’m 37, raised myself on his music, been to 18, and my only goal left is to get my kids there. But, most of all, it’s my therapy, and grateful to see you all in a week. (Would love to hear Johnny’s Rhum!)

I'm headed to Atlanta. I don't think there will be too much of a party scene given the location but I'm sure we'll have fun. Chastain Park is only about 7K people so that will be kind of nice.
