The Slow Lane Thursday @ the MSC

Post by SMLCHNG »

Good morning!

Got all the packing done yesterday, except for the last minute things tomorrow morning. :) Today is a just a few things to tend to, and I'm happy about that!

Today is also National Bean Day, but I really do NOT like beans, which E laughs at, as that is a huge part of his business.

I see on the BN list, today is Tiki Bar and Dally's birthdays. :)

Have a great Thursday!!

Good Morning Penny & all of my BN friends.

We had a wonderful visit with our PA friends yesterday!

Today is a day of almost nothing....Kevin will head to friend Scott's house for another Breaking Bad marathon :). I will be at chair Yoga but I've got nothing else going on. May go early to the library and shelve books before Yoga.

Our community pool filled up & overflowed some with all the rain we had yesterday afternoon and through the night. Our "pool boy" (AKA the HOA hired pool service) will be busy messing with chemicals during his daily visit :)

TGIT.
Good Morning Penny...Linda. Good luck Penny, have safe travels & enjoy your trip back to the Midwest tomorrow. Sounds like a good time
I like your Slow Lane analogy.
I feel that many of us who are working today but will be off for the 3 day weekend will kind of be on cruise control in the slow lane today. I will be taking some work home this weekend to pick away at here & there.

Have a great day BN'ers to come

A cop pulled over a car full of old ladies. The car was doing 20 mph in a 55 stretch.Four passengers had their mouths open and fear in the eyes.
" Why did you pull me over, officer?" asked the driver. "I was obeying the speed limit" as she pointed at a sign. The cop said, "Mam, that is the highway number. Why are your friends so panicked looking?"
The driver replied," They should be okay soon, I just turned off route 98!"
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

I'm definitely working today but we're shut down tomorrow through Monday.
We're having a family cookout at our youngest Daughter's house tomorrow and not much of anything else after that.
Have a safe Independence Day weekend everyone 😀

Hello All !

We had a few sporadic but short downpours. Now it's just really hot and really humid! I took it pretty easy today -- my thumb is very angry. I'm hoping the steroid will work a little magic to ease the pain but that may be overly optimistic. It's going to be difficult waiting until October for surgery but that was my decision so there's no one else to blame.

Tomorrow a few of us neighbor ladies will go to the pool at 9 am. There's a community party tomorrow starting around 1 -- a few food trucks, a foam machine for the kids, music, etc. We'll head out long before that begins. Kevin & I went last year but things have changed since then so we're going to hang out with some friends and then watch the fireworks display. Last year it was right over our pond -- this year it will be over the townhome section's pond. Parking will be super hard for that but if we stay home the view will be blocked from our back yard. We're going over to a friend who is in the TH section so we can park in her driveway. Glad her backyard faces that pond :)
