Freezer Pop TUESDAY @ the MSC

Post by Saltx3 »

Good Morning!

Today is NATIONAL FREEZER POP DAY

In the heat of summer, National Freezer Pop Day brings the sweet chill of relief! On July 8th, grab one of America's favorite ways to cool off with a frozen sweet treat.
Freezer pops have a long history - one that's over 60 years old. And that history includes kids and summer fun. What's better than getting outdoors and spending time with friends and family? Well, perhaps cooling off with a freezer full of freezer pops in every flavor of the rainbow.

I just bought a package of Freezer Pops for the grand boys who should be arriving on Saturday :).
I also bought myself a silicone Popsicle mold and filled it with a non-sugar fruit juice. Going to try one later today.

Enjoy your day !

Good morning, Linda. When I was fatter, I ate a lot of freezer pops in the summer. I prefer watermelon now.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Good morning Linda and Bill. I used to eat freezer pops a lot when I was a kid but I can't remember the last time I had one. I eat ice cream instead.

Good morning from Lake Geneva, WI. :)

Soooo, last night we went to dinner with Tiki Bar (JoAnn), and we were waiting at the bar for our table. This guy stood next to us, just staring at the two of us. I finally looked back at him, then to JoAnn, then back to him. They were both grinning big. JoAnn finally motions to him, and said "It's Jim, CaptainP"... I nearly screamed. I'd never met him before!! :D :D We had a wonderful dinner, talking about BN, concerts, and our phriends.

But jump to a little earlier.... While we were eating breakfast, resort we're staying in sent Ron a text that they had a plumbing issue in the floors above, and we had to move rooms, NOW. Stopped by the front desk, got new room keys. Went to our old room, and we could hear dripping. Looked around and it was coming down near the TV/fireplace. It took us about 10 minutes to pack and load up the carts. Went 4 doors down, and got everything unloaded a and put away. Good times. 🤣😉

Penny - You've had quite the fun trip so far, (morning move excepted), meeting folks for the first time! HOW AWESOME! :D

As to Freeze Pops... I have not had one in a while... but I find them more refreshing on a hot day than ice cream. My preferred flavor is lemon. [smilie=yum.gif]

Good afternoon Gang!

In my neck of the woods we did Popsicles, not freezer pops. Preferred chomping the frozen ice off a stick rather than squeezing up out of a plastic sleeve.

That's all I've got.

Enjoy your 8th day of July everybody

I had an appointment to donate platelets at noon, then I stopped for a haircut on the way home. The heat index is only 99 this afternoon.

Phew.

I saw "freezer pops" and had a terrible thought about grandfathers and industrial freezers... :o

Still raining and blowing a gale here.

A few months ago we ordered some chests of drawers (tallboys) that we wanted in a natural oak finish. It turns out that natural oak finish is, in fact, unfinished.

So lucky me is off to the hardware and paint stores for some sandpaper, tack cloths, sanding sealer and finishing wax. This was not in my plans!

Given the weather, it may take a while to get these things done - I can't imagine that things will dry in lickety-split time!

We went to the pool for a few hours today. When we got there the water was at the top edge and was slowing starting to overflow. This time it wasn't due to a massive amount of rain (like last week). We also felt cooler water coming in through the jets. So we sent a text to one of our HOA board members and asked if this was to be happening. He replied no -- sounds like the pool guy "forgot to close the valve". About 5 mins later we got a text saying the pool company was on their way. :o
