E has a conference about an hour North starting on Saturday, and we'll be back home next Wednesday. There will be a couple of nice dinners we have to dress nicely for, and a Rockies/Cardinals game on Monday. (Yes, Rockies are bad, but still a fun place to go, and E's a Cardinals fan).
88 is supposed to be the high, and a few less storms today.
The NHL released the schedule for the 2025-26 season yesterday afternoon and the Vegas Golden Knights have a home game Dec. 23. Looks like another Christmas in Las Vegas.
Hi everyone! That luggage hasn’t even had time to relax and you have it off and running!! Good for you, Penny! Sounds like it will be a fun few days!!
Cooler but muggy here—I still have windows open and may need a long sleeve shirt when I head out to cut the grass. I do love summer, but am grateful for the temp drop. Menopause and hot humid weather are not friends.
Lazy morning here—working in starting laundry and cutting up fruits and veggies I bought yesterday. Eventually I will make it off the couch….maybe
Enjoy the day!!!
well, ummmmmmm, yah, I guess I better come up with something witty to put in this spot since everyone is reading it.......

I'm looking forward to it. I know some of the people that will be there, and I like them, so that's a good thing.
Ohhhh, let me cut up all the veggies and fruits! I love doing that stuff.

Keeping the tradition going!! The Avs will be there on the 27th.
The game on the 23rd is against the San Jose Sharks. This will be my 8th Golden Knights game against 8 different opponents. I think it was 2019, their 3rd season in the league, the game I went to was against Colorado. The Avs blew them out, the score was 7-2 or 7-3.
Hi there! Yesterday We checked in a Micromodel and as a Windom rewards member, I got an upgrade to a suite for 6 bucks! Today on the way home we drove 12 miles out of our way to see a hotel close to the bar Peter Mayer plays next week. It's more money than I like to spend for a room, but I can't sleep cheap every time.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Living here in a premier wine region, I can say that paid tastings are a good thing.
First up, it stopped dead in its tracks the spectre of Hen's and Buck's party buses arriving and destroying the ambience while they freeload.
Secondly, and more importantly, it removes the guilt of having a tasting and not being inclined to buy any wine.
Finally, it helps the smaller winemakers and cellar doors break even on the costs of opening the cellar door.
I totally understand and agree with everything you said here. I guess what I really miss is the time back when the wineries were not overwhelmed and no one thought of them as a "party-place". It was more like being treated as guests, not customers back then, and FTR, I never felt "obliged" to buy anything, but I can't recall ever walking out empty-handed either.

That's about all from here. Have a good Thursday!
You’ll be styling with the new luggage.
You only have two options - havin' fun or freakin' out...

Check out the movie Sideways, about two pals going on a winery trip before one gets married. Wonderful little movie, I love it so much.

Reminds me of when I was still working. One hot summer day a paralegal came to work wearing a seersucker suit, saddle shoes and a straw hat. He walked by and another paralegal said "look at that guy, he be stylin' and profilin'."

I have that DVD! I need to watch that again... as I have developed a sensitivity to Merlot!
