Short Stack Coffee Black SATURDAY@ the MSC
Good morning BN. I heard Peter Mayer sing this in The Morning Star Cafe song and the song has been a wonderful ear worm these days.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Good morning Bill.
Doubtful I’ll have a Short Stack but likely I’ll have some Coffee Black…..like right after this post.
Dealing with a mild case of poison ivy, mostly around the wrist & forearms at this point however a tiny cluster seems to be popping up on upper belly.
Annoying!
Enjoy your Saturday everyone

My art room at a summer camp was surrounded with poison ivy and I thought I was impervious because as a 23 year, I had never been affected with it, so walked through the ivy in shorts.
Thought I was going to die.

Good morning, boys! Happy Saturday. No poison ivy for me, and I prefer cream in my coffee.

Good morning Bill, Ken and Debbie.
No short stack for me but coffee black is my usual beverage of choice in the morning. Except it's a little hot for coffee today, the heat index is already 96.
I looked at the play by play of last night's Pelicans game on their website, they won 6-5 in 10 innings. They were winning 4-0 after 2 innings and didn't have a hit yet. The pitcher from the other team had hit 2 batters, walked 4 and thrown 2 wild pitches. The Pelicans also had 8 stolen bases in those 2 innings which is unusual for them, they have the second fewest stolen bases in the league.

Good morning Bill, Ken, Debbie, Larry!
We both fell asleep on the couch, hit the bed around 11:00, and my watch said we slept over 11 hours.
No coffee for me. I like it, but only drink it on occasion. Sugar and cream for mine.
I've never had poison ivy. Sorry you're dealing with that, Ken.
Hopefully my car will be done today. I miss driving it. And hopefully my nosy neighbor will leave it alone.
Got new glasses yesterday. I'm getting used to the new rx and frame location.
Going to a funeral this afternoon for a former co-worker of E's.
And it's another hot one in the upper 90's.
Have a good Saturday!!

Good Afternoon !!
Had a great "girls coffee gathering" here this morning. There were 8 of us (2 of whom I had never met, and several ladies who made a few new friends).
2 of the husbands were at the pool -- all by themselves but around the time we were done the moms started showing up with some little ones so it was perfect timing for everybody.
We just had lunch -- cut up a huge watermelon that I got yesterday (it's very sweet which is awesome). Fresh, home grown produce (at the local amish roadside farm stands one of the biggest things we miss here).
We may head to the beach around 3 for an hour or so. See you all tomorrow

According to the weather app on my phone it's 93 degrees and the heat index is 113. I went to the mall instead of the park for my daily walk today. On the way home I drove by the park where I usually go walking, there was a girls softball tournament. I played softball for more than 30 years, I don't think I ever played in weather like this.

Hi there! We attended a funeral in a rural village's church with signs on the front doorsthat read
DON'T LET THE CHIPMUNKS IN.

Evening all!
No short stack here... eggs over easy with home fries and of course, coffee!
Mine has to have milk, though. I used to drink it black, but once I hit 30 that started to bother my stomach.
I've been lucky enough to have never experienced poison ivy, but SoulMate is very sensitive to it. When our daughter worked in Central Park, she told him about stuff called Tecnu that they have available for the gardeners there. It works quite well.
I am surprised that softball game was not called for extreme heat. I have seen notices of cancellations for local games when the heat index got over 100. But maybe down there they are more used to it, we are heat-wimps this far North!
