National Chicken Wing Day Tuesday @ the MSC

Post by SMLCHNG »

Good morning!

I love wings. Both drums and flats. But I don't want any celery, blue cheese, or ranch with mine. Buffalo and lemon/pepper are my favorites. :) And I don't dislike the boneless ones.

On a sad note, Hall of Famer and Cubs 2B Ryne Sandberg died at 65 yesterday. He was the last of the Cubs I loved since I moved from IL to CO.

I cleaned out our closet yesterday, so I'm taking it easy today. I have a plant to re-pot, since it's outgrown the bot it was in.

Have a good Tuesday!

Hmmm.... "a person should sort their personal belongings in the event of their death, so loved ones are spared the burden of it all".

Well, not exactly - just SO many things that have been neglected over the years. That and I don't want to have all of this crap around here if our plan to move to Galveston happens in 2 years.

I did find one beautiful thing - the dresses that my mother made for my prom, and my 3 brothers weddings. Damn, she was SO talented.

Good morning gang. I eat wings when they are on special at two places. My favorite is mango habenero.

My mom was quite a seamstress too, Penny. She made a lot for my older sisters.

I got an early start to go fishing, drove 27 miles to find the road closed to the boat ramp. I drove miles around the lake which included driving into the county seat to another ramp. I had not been there in decades and missed a turn. I was on a narrow road going uphill and gave up.The haze gave me vision issues anyway, so I came home.

A bear pulled down the bird feeder last night, so that ends free food for mostly starlings.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Good morning.

Hooters has a special today, buy 10 wings and get 10 free. I know I can eat 20 wings but I probably shouldn't so I'm not going. I wonder if Buffalo Wild Wings is doing anything today? A new one opened earlier this year and it's a little over a mile away, as opposed to 10 miles for Hooters.

Hello!

We love wings but haven't made any since we moved. We should try them in the air fryer.

We're in the middle of an awesome T-storm. The rain is sooooooo welcome here. We were at the pool earlier and since the thermometer an HOA Board member put in the pond a week ago has disappeared AGAIN (for the 3rd time) we have no idea of the official temp. But, it felt warmer than bath or shower water. Actually almost hurt getting fully immersed. :o

We have nothing planned outside the house.

Interesting thing going on about 1 mile from us.

I heard thunder for about 2 hours, saw a couple of lightning strikes and the sky got really dark but no rain until about 15 minutes ago.

Couldn't you have taken the extra 10 home for another time? It's not like you to turn down such a good deal!

Sorry Penny.

I, too, like wings. Especially the ones I make here at home. Dry rub from a local(ish) Mexican food importer and cooked over charcoal. Must be done over charcoal. Sometimes I throw some fruit tree prunings on the coals for a bit of extra smoke (apple, peach, nectarine, plum or pear).

So I have an earworm in the form of Mañana (as in from SOASOAS). I have questions.
What marina do I need to wait at for Steve Martin to call?

Why is Steve Martin going to call a marina?
