Pine Knob CRB Monday at the MSC!

Post by PetalMel »

I am up and at ‘em early this morning!! Coral Reefer Band tour starts at Pine Knob tonight, and I am getting excited!!!

Oh, and it is my first day back to work after summer break…😳 that’s the real reason I am up early. Hoping to be able to sneak out a bit early so I can get into the lot before 5:30. Tickets sales have been meh. I am not sure we will get another chance to do this again, so I want to make the best of it.

Have a great Monday, all!! 💕🌴🦩🏴‍☠️🦈🫧💕
well, ummmmmmm, yah, I guess I better come up with something witty to put in this spot since everyone is reading it.......

Hello All!

All I have is chair yoga this morning. The humidity is super low and the temp is currently 70 !!! We're going to try to re-stake the crepe myrtle we had planted in the fall. The tree is growing and looks beautiful but one of the bamboo stakes the folks used when it was planted broke of. We want to give that trunk some more stability as we get closer to hurricane season.

Have a wonderful day.

Good morning Melissa, Bill, Debbie, Linda and Ken! :)

Those going tonight, have a great time! :D

Nothing going on here today, other than emptying the dishwasher from the dishes I used yesterday for breakfast and dinner.

My weekly adventure of cleaning something in the apartment will start tomorrow.

Good almost afternoon, at least for my fellow east coasters.

I called an electrician, the earliest they can get here is tomorrow afternoon. One more day of shaving and showering in the dark. I can live with that, I haven't drawn blood shaving yet. I never had anything like this done before so I didn't know what to expect cost-wise. I asked the woman who answered the phone and she said the service call is $165 plus the cost of the breaker.

I don't think I'll be able to listen to the show tonight. I used to listen to RM through the Internet radio tab in iTunes but since I don't have Internet access right now I can't do that. I suppose I could listen through the Sirius app on my phone but I don't want to use up all the juice on my battery.

Good afternoon folks. Just want to point out today is National Coast Guard Day.

Well, I did more so far today than I thought I would (and Kevin feels the same way ;) )

Yesterday we went to Lowes (hardware store) to get some tall, sturdy, posts to stake up our crepe myrtle. The bamboo posts the landscapers used in the fall have started to deteriorate and with the high winds we get now and again, the 3 tree trunks are starting to lean in the wrong direction.
We re-staked and tied them and they all look a lot better. And will hopefully withstand any hurricane-type winds we may get.

We also ran a cultivator we got a few months ago on the irrigation "troughs" where grass has not yet grown. After that, we spread some grass seed which we hope will take as the yard gets watered a little each day.

After that I swept out my car -- lots of sand, filled up the washer fluid and checked the oil.

I'm done until it's time to make our salads for dinner -- will also use up last night's leftover taco stuff.

Bummer on another day of ceiling darkness... :(
As to the show, can you not listen while your phone is plugged in to save the battery? Or what about hooking your computer directly to the modem, bypassing the Wi-Fi router?

I'm all set to listen later using the SiriusXM app on an Amazon Fire tablet that I bought this afternoon. My phone has been having issues and would not connect to my Bluetooth speaker last evening. So when I saw the tablet was on sale at BJ's for only $69.99 I decided it was a good back-up to have for various internet stuff!
