More rain here over night and flash flooding in Barefoot Landing (a popular place). The sun is out (for now). Tomorrow our BN friends from NJ (Sistergoldenhair - Colleen & hubby Mike) will be here overnight as they travel from their vacation home in Siesta Key, FL to NJ. We haven't seen them in 1.5 yrs......can't wait.
Went to cancer unit yesterday numbers still good. Tomorrow a nurse comes over to provide Immunology treatment.
Doc says next 2 months to rebuild stem cells. PET scan next month. So no crowds or pt for a while can't risk getting sick. No library or book stores and no movie theater.
Oh well I have a 50 incher at home. TV that is.
The freedom to read is essential to our democracy.

Appreciate the clarification. I originally was thinking...what kind of experimental drugs are they giving you & I'd be happy just getting a fraction of that stuff if I might
Good luck with your self PT in front of the 50 incher.
Corona by day, Corona by night, any old time is just alright!

Hi there! A teaching acquaintance told us dumpster tales. He's moving and purging. The dumpster was on the street and several pickers went through it as he cleaned out the house. Somebody threw a tire in it one night. The next day it was gone. An old box TV was in it. He confronted one of the pickers and he owned up to it and removed the TV.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.
Linda - that is a LOT of rain and standing water!! I hope it all dissipates before your visitors arrive!

Probably because places charge to dispose of those now... I think the cost at our town's recycling center (they are adamant it is NOT a dump ) is now $50 for a TV up to 30" and scales higher from there... that is in addition to the $35 annual sticker we need just to access it!
In Boston with... "this caribbean soul I can barely control and Long Island's always here in my heart"
JB - Sag Harbor 11/20/99
Swelling was down just a bit, so I went for my scheduled haircut. My new glasses, that I ordered last week arrived - great timing, since I was wearing a pair two prescriptions ago. And I ran my car through a car wash.
E's having good meetings in TN, so I'm glad about that.

That's about it for now.
Good evening gang.
Geez Penny, retirement seems to be a bit challenging at this point. I know you guys have taken advantage for some nice getaways but dang! Your list of boo boos & unfortunate circumstances are testing you.
Bailed out on the Rod Stewart concert tonight. Lynn’s asthma is kicking her butt & I all of a sudden this afternoon I started dealing with a ringing of the ears & a plugged feeling. I think Toto broke em last night. Plus 2 concerts in 4 nights didn’t help either. I’m thinking I need to consider ear plugs if I want to continue to check out this much live music. And when I drive solo….lets just say the volume may be just a bit higher than what most people prefer. I don’t think having a fan blowing directly on my head most of the day helped either. Complain complain complain.
Enjoy your evening everyone

We’re fortunate that the outdoor recycling center is about a mile from us. Even more fortunate it’s all FREE! It’s a huge place with tons of large dumpsters all labeled for what goes in. Theres also an employee at each dumpster which makes things run smoothly. It’s open 7 days a week.
