Last THURSDAY of August @ the MSC
Good Morning!
A few weeks ago we saw a charge on our Visa that we didn't authorize. It was a "renewal" fee for some magazines we got at a cheap "intro" offer. As the expiration date was approaching they sent numerous emails that it was coming and each time we "DECLINED" the renewal. Of course they processed the renewal fee anyway.....so I had to get a new card. I'm slowly working my way through our physical rolodex (do people even use those anymore????) to change everything to the new number. While I'm at it I'm changing all of the email addresses to our iCloud account.
I'm done for today -- the sun is out and we have stuff to do.
Have a great day everybody !!!

Good Morning Linda..........BN'ers to come!
That really stinks about the mag billing renew thing. Frustrating we've had to adapt to that type of world in which you've REALLY got to keep a close eye on such things.
Looking forward to this weekend being the REAL start of the College Football season (apologies to any Kansas State, Iowa State, Stanford or Hawaii fans out there). A few games of notoriety played tonight and following through the next 4 days also.

How annoying.
And good morning to you and Ken!
I'm off in a little while to go have coffee with a former co-worker.
We had some decent rain yesterday - heavy, but only lasted about 20 minutes. I'll take it.
That's about it from here. Have a good Thursday!!

Good afternoon. Maybe I'll watch the Boise State game, it starts at 5:30 so I won't have to stay up late to watch it.
The Pelicans started selling playoff tickets but they haven't clinched a playoff spot yet. I think they have 10 games left and they have a 9 1/2 game lead in their division so they'd have to lose every game to get knocked out of the playoffs but I'm going to wait until they clinch first place before I spend any money.

Re: Last THURSDAY of August @ the MSC
Hi there! I had a good workout and i am FINALLY losing some weight. Good thing too, the reason for diet and excessive workouts is to fit in my jeans. I had to wear them today. It was 37 this morning.
Penny, a coffee date sounds great! I could hang out for coffee quicker than beer.
Linda, I dread looking at one card statement after being hacked twice in 2 months.

If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Now we're watching Oklahoma State (where E went to school, at the same as Garth Brooks) football. So far, so good. They're ahead 7-0.

Oh, and I got my cataract surgeries scheduled for October 29th and November 5th. I am not so much worried about the surgery as it is the eye drops I have to use for 3 weeks for each eye. I HATE eye drops.
I may have to have E put them in.

Eye drops are easy-peasy. Then again, I've been wearing hard contact lenses for nearly 60 years now....MsMod wrote: I HATE eye drops.I may have to have E put them in.

Step 1: Look in the mirror, tilting your head back just a little bit,
Step 2: Holding the eyedrop bottle in one hand, use the forefinger on your other hand to pull your lower eyelid down,
Step 3: Squeeze the eyedrops onto your lower eyelid,
Steo 4: Release your eyelid, letting it slam shut.
The eyedrops are now applied to your eyeball.
I'm afraid that I won't be too far behind you, I'm just about due.
(And afraid is the proper adjective.... you know how I am about needles, you can just imagine how I'''ll be about someone cutting on my eyes!)

I was just minding my own business and the the next thing I know I''m the same age as old people….

We did and that's why we needed a new card. The reversed the charge but since it was an "unauthorized" charge we need a new card.SMLCHNG wrote: August 28, 2025 9:39 amHow annoying.Could you have disputed the charge with your bank?

She was one of my favorite people, so I can't wait.

Re: Last THURSDAY of August @ the MSC
Thanks for that, Mr. SPH.
That's exactly how I'll be doing it. I just hate dropping things in my eye - which is why I don't have contacts.
Ahh, now I understand, Linda.
