NFL Sunday @ the MSC

Post by SMLCHNG »

Good morning all!

We haven't been watching the NFL for several years. But for those who watch, today is opening day. :)

I cooked some good stuff yesterday. Today I'm making and eating walleye for the first time. Gift from one of E's co-workers from North Dakota.

Have a good Sunday!! :D

Good morning Penny.

My connecting flight from Baltimore was supposed to land here in MYR at 7:25 last night. When I left the parking lot at the airport the clock on the dashboard of my car said 9:57. Today will be a couch potato day, laundry can wait until tomorrow.

I was wondering when you finally got home, Larry. Pretty late, but glad you made it safely.

Still sorting through a bunch of OLD papers looking for anything important. We have some current bills but no insurance is or will
His side of the family has their panties in a big ol knot because I decided to go to "Rent a Casket" 🤣 meaning we'll do a viewing and funeral at the funeral home then he's being cremated and will be buried by my mom. Of course his nephew said he didn't want to be cremated and that he DID have a will. I wanted to send him pictures of the hoard in the house and ask him to come find it! Sorry.

Happy Sunday!

It's taking everything in me to try to remain above the fray and to keep remembering who I am. Thanks Penny.

Good afternoon everyone. Had to come into the office today to deal with an "emergency" situation for a client. I was informed about it last night & I told them I'd work on it first thing this morning. I should have just came in last night & got it done. Was tossing and turning off & on during the night so sleep was minimal.
Anyway, just have the tax returns finished & waiting for signatures.

Nothing particularly cooking the rest of the day. Take care of a few chores prior to prepping tonight for an EGD scope test tomorrow. Not necessarily that big of a deal. I'm Still 11 days out until Mr. Colonoscopy comes to town. That represents the real fun stuff. :o

Sorry to hear you're having to deal with that fiasco Tammy. What a PIA it sounds like. Good luck in getting it wrapped up without TOO much more mental stress.

I was about to put my sneakers on and go for a walk but I started hearing thunder and there were a lot of dark clouds off to the west. It's freaking pouring now

Hey y'all

We just had the same strong t-storm as Larry. I'm happy I don't have to water my potted plants today :)....it was just too stinkin' hot to do anything outside.

We hosted a "Happy Hour" here last night with 4 couples. 2 of the 4 couples had never met and we had an AWESOME TIME - everyone had fun and the last to leave was at 11:30. Kevin to hang out with and this group will definitely be doing that.

We were greeters this morning (had to be at church at 8:45) so there was no sleeping in today. Now with the darkness from the storm I'm feeling a little sleepy :).

Why doesn't Toledo have a football team?

Because if they got one then Cleveland would want one too.

The funeral is Wednesday so I just need to get through Wednesday. I haven't even allowed myself to really process that he's gone. Thanks Bill.

Colonoscopy is just another word for pain in the a$$🤣

Funeral service is Wednesday and attorney Thursday at 4:00 and Bryan has a surgical procedure on Friday and then I work on Saturday, so maybe I'll be able to start processing this next Sunday! Still waiting to hear back from my therapist and YES the middle daughter is still being a poopy head! (To quote Miss Penny 🤣)

There was a woman on my flight from Baltimore to Myrtle Beach last night wearing a Cleveland Browns sweatshirt. When we got off the plane I wanted to tell her "I'm a Giants fan, I feel your pain".

Same here... and even my adopted second favorite team has sucked the past few years!
Glad to read you got home OK.

@Penny - I have not had walleye since leaving MN... I recall it being quite tasty! [smilie=yum.gif]

@Tammy - I admire your restraint... I'm with Penny, I'd have sent the photo.
I hope you make it through Wednesday without any more unnecessary grief... your real grief is enough.

My husband just said that there are no more major decisions regarding the service to be made and he's not leaving my side at the funeral and I don't have to answer any questions or respond to anything, he'll take care of it.
My relationship with my dad is extremely complicated and everyone in his world thinks he walked on water. But behind closed doors he was sadistic and abusive, so I'm very angry that he left this mess for me and it makes it very hard to even feel sad or grieve for him. Sorry...you guys are getting bits and pieces you didn't ask for but until I see my therapist I gotta vent
Thanks for letting me

VENT AWAY!! You definitely have a good reason to feel this way.
I know people who have a completely different "public" persona than the mean side I have seen... It can be difficult to deal with.
