Re: Monday @ the MSC
Good morning Linda, Debbie, and Ken!
Not much here. I'm emptying the dishwasher from cooking yesterday. And a load of laundry. I'm tired today. E got to start at his new office. Much shorter drive to/from work.
Otherwise I don't have much on the agenda.
Elaine? I found the walleye to be VERY tasty, and very mild in flavor.
Hang in there, Tammy - Hopefully things will smooth out sooner rather than later.
A cup of coffee sounds good today..

Good morning.
It's laundry day from my Missouri trip. At least I was in a hotel for 3 days so that's 3 less bath towels.

So, SS was deposited today, so I paid all of the bills. Good times. And I also emptied/cleaned my hand held vacuum. (I use it often to vacuum up bugs and insects).
And I emptied all of the wastebaskets, and the trash will be picked up tonight. Our apartments offer front door pick up for about $20 a month. WELL worth it.
Exciting morning here.

Hi there! My buddy helped me on a small lake by dealing with Garmin over my trolling motor. It wasn't synched to satellite's and needed new software updates that he and a Garmin tech could do. It required 2 phones, emailing a security code and his ability to read a one inch screen on my remote. Success! The fish were not hitting, but my motor was working better.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Itโs a beautiful day here in MBSC. I did chair yoga and then both of us went to the gym. I picked up an online order at Walmart and a few minutes ago cut out around all of the termite bait traps. All 12 of them. That was a process. Seems more grass grows over them than the rest of the yard.

Look, I've boated and fished and the like since I was a joey in mum's pouch. So I am just going to ask. Why on earth does a trolling motor (essentially an electric motor with a propeller) need software and/or satellite connectivity?bodypainter wrote: September 8, 2025 1:34 pm Hi there! Sounds a lot like technology for technology sake or even a solution looking for a problem to solve!

Re: Monday @ the MSC
Essentially it is a small plastic or metal tube that is buried down to ground level with a poison laced, tasty termite treat. The little buggers are attracted to the bait and die. - This allows the pest controller to inspect the traps and if they find dead termites, further investigation is done.
Kind of an early warning system.
We have them here and would not be without them - very cheap insurance!

Re: Monday @ the MSC
Ha! I have owned 8 bow mounted trolling motors, but this last one is a game changer. It is incredibly powerful, using little battery draw and has anchorlock. This featured links like GPS and will hod my boat in heavy wind and current with a click of a button. It's like having a deep water anchor. My buddy got it on his boat that is the same rig I have. The river we fish has strong currents that he can hold and now so can I.Rabbitz wrote: September 8, 2025 5:51 pmLook, I've boated and fished and the like since I was a joey in mum's pouch.
