Precious & Few THURSDAY @ the MSC
Good Morning Gang!
Some days a song just pops into my head without warning. Getting ready for work this morning outta nowhere I start humming the song Precious & Few by the band Climax, a hit back in 1972. Don't ask me why. I had no music on at the time. I wasn't consciously thinking about anything specific at the time. Regardless, I'm glad the song did pop into my head. In this crazy mixed up world sometimes you have to stop, or slow down & go deep & remind yourself to savor certain things in life.
Enjoy your 25th day of September everyone!!
Precious and few are the moments we two can share
Quiet and blue, like the sky, I'm hung over you
And if I can't find my way back home, it just wouldn't be fair
'Cause precious and few are the moments we two can share

Re: Precious & Few THURSDAY @ the MSC
Good morning Ken, Linda and BN!
That song was one of my favorites, AND it was the theme of my sister and BIL's prom, back in 1975.
(I was a prom 'hostess' that year). Yesterday they celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary.
I just took E to the train station (about 10 minutes from home), and the train stops at near his office. They moved offices a few weeks ago, and today they're having a 'grand opening' with spouses, so I'll drive there and we'll drive home together.
Other than that, I'm just doing some laundry and a bit of rest from yesterday's adventure with Cameron.

Good Morning!
Nothing new here -- I'm still working on coughing up my lungs
. I don't feel any better with the OTC meds but I will keep taking them in the hope that a day will come when I'm completely healed.
I'd like to try book bingo at the library at 2:30 followed by chair yoga at 3:30.....we'll see how this morning and early afternoon go.
As party of my birthday month events, Kevin & I went to a local jeweler yesterday. We took my sapphire necklace & earrings as well as a large diamond anniversary ring mom was wearing when she died (which we thought was costume jewelry). We talked about mounting my sapphire stones into an anniversary ring. But when they checked out mom's ring they discovered it's real diamonds (about 1.3 carat) of exception clarity. So.....now they will give an estimate for a ring that will combine my sapphire stones with her diamonds.

What a nice jewelry surprise, Linda!
As far as your cough goes, E had a similar sinus/cough thing that he's finally getting over. Mucinex products seems to help him the most. Is there any doctor at the practice you go to that you could get a second opinion?

Re: Precious & Few THURSDAY @ the MSC
I saw the cutest little dog yesterday, it looked like a tiny Husky. I asked the owner about it and it was a Pomeranian/Husky mix. (a Pomsky? A Hupo?, I dunno). I was so enthralled with the dog and so busy petting it, that I never had a chance to ask "howinthehell?"
Pomeranians stand 6"to 7" tall and weigh 3 to 7 lbs. Huskies stand 20" to 24" tall and weigh 35 to 50 lbs for females and 45 to 60 lbs for males. Howinthehell?

The problem is that the younger me didn’t think there’d be an older me and now the older me has a bunch of stuff to fix because the younger me was an idiot.

Me 3!
That is a familiar number! They got married the Saturday after we did! But our Senior Prom was in 1973 and our song was "Beginnings" by Chicago, so we differ there!SMLCHNG wrote: September 25, 2025 9:21 am That song was one of my favorites, AND it was the theme of my sister and BIL's prom, back in 1975.(I was a prom 'hostess' that year). Your plan to combine it with your own stones sounds lovely!
