Right there with ya, Penny! I also think it would be great for Canada to win! I'm glad it is a WORLD Series for once!

big john wrote: October 21, 2025 3:07 pm Good afternoon all. I thought that on Sunday I was just going to have a nice lunch at the VFW
to celebrate my upcoming 70th birthday with my daughters, their husbands, my grand children, Mom,
and Jeannette. Nope. I walked into a surprise party with 65 guests, most of which was direct relatives.
Never saw it coming. They had been planning this for about 6 weeks. Many of you who have met my
brothers would not be surprised at how much my cousins can drink and party. It was a good time.![]()
Happy 70th!! Very cool they were able to surprise you like that!
And WOW... ~65 direct relatives?!

Once the rain stops (it just bucketed down again), the lake will be gone in a day.bodypainter wrote: October 21, 2025 5:38 pm Well, you can't mow that area for a while, but it won't be kicking up dust either.
I am not sure how it vanishes so fast because the ground here is like concrete.
You may have noticed how brown it is looking at the edges, the big summer dry out has started - hopefully this downpour will delay that at bit.

It's still blowing a gale.
Magically, "Lake Greenock" has reappeared in our yard...
