Are you sure she is?
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Toronto beat Seattle last night so they'll be playing the Dodgers in the World Series.
I'll be cheering for Toronto... can't stand the Dodgers.
Right there with ya, Penny! I also think it would be great for Canada to win! I'm glad it is a WORLD Series for once!

to celebrate my upcoming 70th birthday with my daughters, their husbands, my grand children, Mom,
and Jeannette. Nope. I walked into a surprise party with 65 guests, most of which was direct relatives.
Never saw it coming. They had been planning this for about 6 weeks. Many of you who have met my
brothers would not be surprised at how much my cousins can drink and party. It was a good time. :pirate:

Happy 70th!! Very cool they were able to surprise you like that! 8)
And WOW... ~65 direct relatives?! :o I am not sure what your definition of "direct" is... but I have a grand total of 7 and that is including the 3 spouses/partners of my 2 kids and my brother!

Once the rain stops (it just bucketed down again), the lake will be gone in a day.

I am not sure how it vanishes so fast because the ground here is like concrete.

You may have noticed how brown it is looking at the edges, the big summer dry out has started - hopefully this downpour will delay that at bit.

It's still blowing a gale.

Magically, "Lake Greenock" has reappeared in our yard...
