National Beer Day Monday @ the MSC

Post by SMLCHNG »

Who knew that's what today is?? LOL!!

National American Beer Day is observed by beer drinkers across the nation every year on October 27. Though Americans love a good pint of Guinness, a chilled Heineken, or a bubbling Corona, they’ll set aside imports of all kinds on National American Beer Day to instead celebrate distinctly domestic lagers and ales brewed across the country.

Tho I won't have any of the beers named above, we do love our beer. I'm a hop-head.

Dentist cleaning, and another phlebotomy today. Fun Fun.

Have a good Monday!! :D

good morning Penny and all other BNers who stop by.

Beer is a good 4-letter word :)

Not sure if I'll make it to chair yoga this morning. The outside of my wrist is very sore and I finally figured out why. While food shopping Saturday I was using it to help steer the cart :(.

But, I will head to the library this afternoon for trivia.

Have a great day everyone as you go through this last Monday of October!

Good morning Penny and Linda.

I thought every day was National Beer Day. [smilie=noeyedear-shrugging.gif] But since today is the official Day, I shall celebrate appropriately. 🍻

It's a crappy day on the coast of Carolina, temperature is in the 60s and its been raining on and off all afternoon. I went to one of our local breweries to celebrate National Beer Day, I'm wearing shorts and a T-shirt and I was quite comfortable. While I was out I saw several people wearing winter coats. What are they going to do when we get what passes for reality cold weather down here?

So we are supposed to have AMERICAN beer today... :o
Oh well... that is not happening (unless there is any Sam Adams still in the "magic fridge" in the garage from the ones our neighbors brought last month) because the only brews that I am sure of being in there are Guinness, Stella, Molson, and Corona. I am not a fan of American beer in general and I'm definitely NOT a "hop-head", as I despise IPAs. [smilie=thumbdown.gif]
If I saw this thread before lunch, I may have "participated" in the occasion (even if it was with a non-American brand) as it would have gone with my hot dog... but we're having salmon tonight, and that generally means wine anyway. Maybe next year!

So I'm VERY happy - I didn't have to give another pint of blood. Still had to be poked to take a vial to send to the lab, but hemoglobin was at a good level, and they'll send the Ferritin level later on today. :D

We saw that on one of our visits to Galveston, it was in the 50's and we were in shorts, they were in coats. I think those that were wearing the warm clothes are people that lived down there.

Anne's homeless vet was approached by a woman who helps vets with housing and jobs. Anne was relieved he may get help.

Good news on the blood, Penny. :D
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Thanks for the suggestion! :D I have seen that up here, and I was actually thinking of getting a case of it for a gathering here this weekend, as I know it is something my son likes.
