I was watching the Hurricanes game last night, they have a player named Logan Stankoven. He scored a goal and the announcer said "put some stank on it".
Penny, the cataract surgery is a piece of cake. I had my right eye done 3 years ago. I remember being wheeled down the hall from the pre-op area to the operating room, then the next thing I remember was someone tapping me on the shoulder telling me I could leave. I was there for about 2 1/2 hours but the procedure only takes 10-15 minutes.
I had my first OT visit this morning. She didn't do much output some heavy heat on my arm and then massage with some cocoa butter. She did replace the "sleeve" under the brace with a compression one since I have a little more swelling than I did when she made the brace. 3 more visits scheduled for next week. at $20 copay per visit that will add up quickly. But I will start to have basic at home stuff to do soon after that.
Hi there! We saw a health insurance broker and our super good deal is no more. We have each had our premium skyrocket from 6$ a month to 25$ a month. My old plan used to be 280$, so I'm ok with it.
Good luck today, Linda and Penny!
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.
Surgery went fine, as far as I can tell. Their wifi was down, so manual paperwork for everything. That part took longer than the surgery!! We were done in 2 hours, surgery took 20 minutes. I was never under anesthesia, just a pill of valium, which didn't do much for me.
Hate the patch on my eye, but can take it off in the morning, and just for 3 days of sleep.

Thanks all!!
Thanks for checking in, Ms Pirate for a day!
In all seriousness, I am glad it went well but I am amazed you were able to tolerate the procedure with just valium...
I am not sure I could do that!

Yay!
The problem is that the younger me didn’t think there’d be an older me and now the older me has a bunch of stuff to fix because the younger me was an idiot.

Great to hear phase 1 is complete successfully!
Only time I ever wore a patch was once I got a minor scratch on my eye over 40 years ago. Hated the patch. As I recall the patch lasted 12 hours at most before I couldn’t take it anymore. It bugged me more than the scratch did ,
Corona by day, Corona by night, any old time is just alright!
