Christmas Eve @ the MSC

Good morning BN. Put some cookies and milk out for Santa or for Larry's masseuse if she finds her way into the cafe.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Ha!!!

Merry Christmas Eve everyone!

Enjoying a cup of coffee before I begin to figure out what loose ends I have. I am to the point in my life where I have accepted that lots of the small things that bothered me years ago really don’t matter. Thrilled to no longer stress over that stuff.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day and magical evening. 💕🎄💕
well, ummmmmmm, yah, I guess I better come up with something witty to put in this spot since everyone is reading it.......

Good morning!

It's a white Christmas in Massachusetts :D Well, we didn't get a ton of snow, but it looks very beautiful.

Larry - I think my father and my aunt went to Vegas in the 80s. We have a tiny plot of land somewhere in Scottsdale, Arizona, which I think they visited. Then they drove up to Grasshopper Junction. After that, I think they headed to the Hoover d*m and then to Las Vegas. I've got old pictures of the Golden Nugget and the Flamingo. I will post them on here if I can find them.

Anyways, just making sugar cookies with my family today. An apple pie is in order, too...

Have a wonderful Christmas Eve, everyone :D :D :D
Jerry...from Massachusetts. I'd like to go where it's warm! :D

Ain't it funny that you can't say d*m, which is a structure built to retain water, but you can say damn, which is deemed to be a mild oath?

Have a good day everyone, hopefully you don't gotta go out in the last minute crowds.....

Good morning everyone! I slept long (10 hrs) but not well I woke many times in a lot of discomfort from the infusion. They aren’t kidding the paper says flu symptoms and body aches. Ive had the flu many times. Never this bad at least next yr is after Christmas.

Our plan is 3:30 church service and then steak and shrimp for dinner before watching the rest of our annual holiday movies. Yesterday a girlfriend drove to Murrells Inlet and got us each 5 lbs of fresh headless shrimp. She had to wait abt 45 mins for the guy to dock and divide his haul. $10/lb. It was his last day of fishing for this season.

Enjoy your day before Christmas. 🎄

Good morning.

The Golden Knights won 7-2 last night, it was 5-0 after the first period. They're on a 4 game winning streak in the games I've gone to - San Jose last night, Anaheim last season, Chicago the season before that and St. Louis in 2022. The St. Louis game was the only hockey game I've ever seen that went to a shootout.

Between the second and third periods they had the team mascot, a guy dressed as a lizard, and the 2 in arena hosts on the ice. They said Santa's reindeer were lost and the mascot had to find them and round them up, then six people wearing reindeer costumes came on the ice. While the lizard was trying to get them someone came out dressed as an old lady, wearing a grey wig and hobbling across the ice with a cane. One of the reindeer ran the length of the ice and knocked "grandma" down. Grandma got run over by a reindeer. Only in Las Vegas.

Good Morning & Merry Christmas Eve everybody ‼️
Off to Lynn’s nephews place this afternoon for Christmas gathering. Ordering some pizzas & having some pie there has become the routine.

I may or may not venture out today soon. I do have until Saturday to get some gifts or gift cards.
I am considering a gift for tomorrow even though we said no exchange this year. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Enjoy your day gang

I ventured out about an hour ago to pick up some chocolate chips for a last minute idea. The grocery store was busy but not crazy. By the time I checked out and got into my car to leave, crazy was everywhere and patience was no where. People really can be self-centered and oblivious when they are overwhelmed and busy. So many people walking in front behind me as I navigated out of the parking lot. Cars were turning and driving out mix awareness of others.

Glad I am home. I totally understand Linus and Charlie Brown as they lamented the commercialism of the holiday. 😀

I checked the weather app on my phone, it looks like today will be a monorail riding day instead of a strolling up and down the Strip day. It's 55 degrees and raining, there's a 95% chance of rain the rest of the day, heavy rainfall is possible and there's a flood watch. At least it isn't snow, or a hailstorm like we had a few years ago.

Morning/Afternoon all.

A less than thrilling day for me. I'm running the vacuum, trying to start reading the notes that E's company people wrote to him/me. Cameron and Sarah coming over later - I got them a few gifts before all of this happened.

And I'll continue to clean up E's desk. Oh, and clean up his Yahoo email.

That's about it.

Hope you all have a happy day!! :)

I left my room to go downstairs and get a cup of coffee. I got on the elevator, I'm on the 4th floor, and pushed "L" for lobby. The button didn't light up and the elevator didn't move. After about 15-20 seconds it started going up. It went to the 12th floor but the doors didn't open. Then it went down but not to the lobby, it stopped at the second floor. This time the doors opened so I got out. Another elevator stopped at the second floor so I got on that one and finally made it to the lobby. Never a dull moment.

I'm in a place called Rematch Bar in the Linq hotel. They have a beer called The Linq Lager. They're doing a promotion on select domestic beers for $5. I ordered The Linq Lager because everything else was $13. I asked the bartender who brewed it for them. He said "I don't know." Way to know what you're selling.

Hi there! A waitress heard I put up the light displays in the town park and went ballistic. She wants her 2 boys 6 and 10 to come help take them down. Seems the boys were sledding in the park, found the LED bulbs beautiful and brought a handful home. She yelled,"That's stealing!" She knew another customer was involved and returned the bulbs. They cost a buck each.

Interesting... we are in neighboring towns and the only "snow" here looked more like someone flew by while squeezing a flour sifter erratically, and even that was gone by 10 AM.

So much for you checking the weather app before your trip! Good thing you have a jacket with you!

I may have spoke too soon  I think it was around 7/8 in the morning when I wrote that and there was still a bit of snow on the grass. It's all but disappeared, unfortunately...

Making sugar cookies, soon, on a lighter note.

Cameron helped me get the safe open. :) I was actually pulling on the handle incorrectly. It was more pull out, rather than up/down. Then he took some bags of trash to the dumpster for me.

I booked flight/hotel/car for trip to OK for a service that the Esters are having for E.

That's about all I've done. Oh, I did sit outside in the sunshine.. it was 75 degrees today. :)

Larry? I love your observations when you go to Vegas! :D

Mama is smiling here. :) Cameron and Sarah just left, and liked the gifts I got for them. Time for a few adult beverages, and hopefully get some sleep.
