The only place I will be hiking is to work and to the mailbox. They are saying rain today and maybe mid 40’s. I would prefer colder weather in January so my hopes for spring aren’t shattered so early in the year. I guess freezer weather is in a few days. Wind chills in double digits the weather guessers are saying.
Hope everyone is as healthy as possible, and happy as all get out, and enjoys whatever hiking they may have on the agenda today.
well, ummmmmmm, yah, I guess I better come up with something witty to put in this spot since everyone is reading it.......
Doing a little more purging today. Nothing too excessively heavy like I did the other day. Waiting on the Ford dealership to call to let me know if the car is fixed... hopefully with not a lot of expense.
I've already finished packing for Thursday, with just a few last minute things to toss in the suitcase.
My hiking today will be back & forth between my office desk & the printer in the computer room. Beyond that, I'm just hopeful none of my clients tell me to "take a hike"
Enjoy your 13th day of January everyone.

More like da tired ol' man.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.
Penny - amazing sunrise! You seem to have the best ones.
Took a walk today after work and a lady was walking her dogs. One of them kept barking at me. She said, "Do you want to say hello?" I couldn't tell if she was talking to me or the dogs, but I stopped and talked with her (and pet the dogs). One was especially feisty and kept growling and jumped up on me.
Other than that, I'm going to watch some TV and do some more writing.
Have a great day everyone!
Jerry...from Massachusetts. I'd like to go where it's warm!
So the car needs a starter and a water pump. E had an extended warranty company (which I don't even know who that was) and the dealer will contact them to start a claim, if they don't cover it, it'll be out of pocket. But this Service Manager has been SO nice and accommodating.
... One more thing....
EDIT: E's Warranty company approved the parts, and all I'll owe is the $100 deductible. Boy, I needed that GOOD news!!

What a crappy day. I was watching TV while I did laundry and when I went to change the channel, I couldn't. I couldn't raise or lower the volume either, then when I pushed the power button the TV wouldn't shut off. I tried putting new batteries in the remote but that didn't work. I went to my local Spectrum store and got a new remote. When I got home everything worked except one thing, no sound. I called customer service and the rep I spoke to said there was a service outage in my area and they get shut off from being able to troubleshoot when there's an outage. I waited a couple of hours and tried the TV again, this time it wouldn't turn on, no matter how dirty I talked to it. I called customer service again and a different rep walked me through linking up the remote to the TV. It took about 10 minutes but everything seems to be working now. Which is good because I think there's a hockey game on tonight.
I had some good timing today, I was taking another heavy wagon load up to the dumpster, and there was Cameron and Sarah! (They stopped by to get a gift card I had for them, and to borrow a suitcase. Cameron ordered one, but borrowed one of mine in case it doesn't get delivered). So Cameron dragged the wagon to the dumpster for me, and dumped most of it.
There's still a lot to dump, but then I'll be starting on getting his clothes bagged up and donated. And SO many hats..

Larry - those remotes can be tricky to pair sometimes...
Penny - It is good that Cameron (and Sarah) are close by and so helpful!
And a big YAY that E's car will be fixed up for just the deductible!!
