Well, maybe not boat drinks, but one beer at the brewery. E had several St. Louis Cardinals things, and I'm giving them to the tasting room manager, Mike, who's a huge fan, too. Nice to visit with him again.
We don't see even one tiny patch of snow this morning (which is a good thing). It's already 50 and our high is only 53.....but we may get rain (which I'll take over snow any day).
I will food shop today - need ingredients for our (blind tasting) Annual Chili/Soup Cookoff on Saturday evening. We will make Zuppa Toscana Soup using the Olive Garden "copy cat" recipe. Unless someone backs out we should have 9 entries this year. If we happen to win the title goes to the entry with the next highest amount of votes.
At our little get together last weekend, MrsSPH's brother-in-law and I spoke at length about the knee replacement surgery he had done in December. (It was his second, he had the other one done two years ago.) He went into detail about how much pain he went through and then kept telling me that I shouldn't wait but should get mine done as soon as I can. Seems kinda contradictory to me.....
You know that little voice in your head that keeps you from saying things you shouldn't?
I should probably get one of those....

Hey Mr. SPH - E went through the same thing as your BIL. BUT - the pain was well worth it, when after all was said and done, he no longer had daily pain in his knees.

Back in the last century when we first moved into this house, most of the neighbors were retired folks who all called me "young fella". An elderly lady across the street from us had a knee replaced and all the time wondered aloud why she waited so long. I asked her what finally made her get it done and she said "I'd be sitting in my reading chair and I'd need to go to the bathroom and I'd have to decide which was worse, peeing my pants or the pain of getting up to go the bathroom... I knew it was time....."

That's all I have for today, besides the usual.
Have a good Wednesday!!
You are most welcome for yesterday's Birthday wishes!
I just love how you are distributing E's belongings to others who will treasure them while remembering E at the same time.
I think it is such a nice thing to do... I'm sure E would agree.

So very glad that tomorrow is Thursday and we are closer to The Weekend. Work seems to get crazier every day and people get more reactive than proactive. Oh well; job security, right?
It was a nice sunny day here—sure helps my mood. Not much else exciting other than I have a three day work week next week. Woohoo!!
well, ummmmmmm, yah, I guess I better come up with something witty to put in this spot since everyone is reading it.......
