Good Morning Campers!!
Light drizzle overnight & this morning is washing away what's left of our winter snow other than the MAJOR plow piles in the area. The sump pumps should be cranking up today
After a few hours of this drizzle temps are supposed to crank up to 57 with some sunshine later in this afternoon. I'll take it!
Enjoy your Ash Wednesday for those that are inclined
Corona by day, Corona by night, any old time is just alright!
Hello Penny, Ken, and everyone! Cloudy skies over MA today...still a ton of snow on the ground. The forecast machine says there's a 65% chance of snow overnight, but rain until 6pm. I've got a sore throat from eating all my pretzels and a bar of Hershey's. In my defense, the package says the serving size is one bar...
Have a great Wednesday, everyone!
Jerry...from Massachusetts. I'd like to go where it's warm!
Good Morning Ken, Penny, Jerry & all my other BN friends:
Not too much happening today at Carolina Cabana. My EMG (ulnar nerve test) is at 3, then at 6 is our weekly Wed evening bible study at church.
Our federal tax refund was deposited today -- YAY -- so now we can finalize plans to spend part of it. Adam, our landscaper will be here later this week to remove the flower bed mulch (now that it's getting warmer, the neighbor cat is AGAIN using the beds as its litter box). He'll put down the rock we chose and then I can then get started on buying some annuals. "Curbscaping" of the flower beds is scheduled for next week. We've also picked out glass doors for our master bath walk-in shower. We had done that in PA and really liked it.
Well, it's so windy it knocked down their trash bin with recycle items in it, which are not bagged. Half of the bin is now in a small ravine with big rocks, and I can't get to it. It'll just have to wait until the wind dies down. It's blowing ME around too much.
It's a chilly morning here with grapple in the forecast, but so far it's clear. I'm driving MrsSPH to the aeroport this morning, she's flying down to the Bay Area to take her mom to a couple of doctor appointments. She has four siblings that live down there, but she goes down once in a while to help share the load.
I'll be on my own for 5 days, hopefully I'll survive.... It'll be tough; I won't have anyone to tell me that the radio is too loud, or the thermostat is set too high, or that I left a light on, or that I'm drinking too much coffee, or that I'm not drinking enough water, or.....
You know that little voice in your head that keeps you from saying things you shouldn't?
I should probably get one of those....

Good afternoon. It's a beautiful day, almost 70 degrees, but I can't take advantage of the great weather yet. I got a late start this morning and I had to do laundry so I'm still waiting for the dryer to shut off.

Boy, are you old.
Old?! Psaw!
I did not get to post this as it happened while I was exiled in log-in purgatory...
But my husband and I just celebrated our 50th Engage-aversary!

A ravine?! YIKES!! I'll be honest, that sounds like a job for your BiL upon his return!
If you DO go for it when the wind dies down... PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!!

YAY! Indeed!
We haven't even received all the documents we need to give our accountant yet! Funny how federal deadlines don't matter one bit to investment houses, but they still hold for us!

I got to be "international peace diplomat" today.
A few days ago my neighbor across the street got into an altercation with my
Egyptian neighbor next door. Last night my neighbor told me he felt real bad about it
and asked my to apologize for him and to tell him how embarrassed he was for acting that way.
He felt so bad he couldn't face the guy himself.
I took care of it this morning. No problems and peace reigns in the neighborhood again.
Sometimes it helps to be the oldest guy on the block.

It's a small one, but the best way I could describe it. One of their neighbors (my sister left me a slew of #'s) came over and got it all out. Very nice guy.

Thank goodness for good neighbors!

Was it Jake from State Farm?
If it was, I hope he did not get his khakis dirty in the ravine!
