Hello Linda and BN!

2 feet of snow is expected. My windows are covered with snow, the streets aren't plowed, and it's practically impossible to get out of the house. Fox & Friends cut out this morning so I had to go about restarting the router...what a nightmare

Stay warm and safe, everyone! :D :D :D
Jerry...from Massachusetts. I'd like to go where it's warm! :D

Good morning Linda, Jerry, and BN! :)

Dogs let me sleep until 6:15, so I'm good with that.

Have a couple of phone calls to make with E stuff this morning. Aflac (disability pay from 12-1/12-21) are still shuffling paperwork and said they're still looking for an additional form, which HR and I never knew about. I have to call them and tell them it's been faxed to the doctor. Then Fidelity to tell them how I want one of his 401K's distributed.

Those in the big snow, good thoughts to you.

Have a good Monday!

Good job, you'll get through this! 👍
You're not making it any easier for me though!
This weekend I decided that it was time and I need to get on my Orthopod's schedule for my right knee. Now I'm not so sure..... 🫣

Good morning all. Got my workout shoveling snow this morning.
Have a roast cooking in the crock pot.

Saw the USA hockey team win gold yesterday. My brothers and I were watching it at our mom's house.
Then we had celebration cigars. :pirate:
Who's got the rum?

Good afternoon.

I received a postcard from DMV telling me my driver's license is about to expire. I checked, it expires on my birthday. That's 7 weeks from now, not what I would call "about to expire". I went online, found the form I needed, filled it out online, then printed it. The closest DMV office is about 5 miles away but I think I'll wait until sometime next month.

Just had a pigeon fly into the living room window (happens fairly often) and it shook the bird a bit, next thing a HUGE hawk came swooping in..probably had a 4 foot+ wing span. :o

Hi Kids!

We got a bit of snow overnight on top of what snowed then melted through the day then froze again. That led to a surprise day off from work for me. Been sitting in front of the computer working on a presentation a colleague and I are doing in a few weeks. September me needs to stop volunteering for tasks February me has no interest in doing 🤣.

Cold but sunny this afternoon. My cat has enjoyed “talking” to the plump squirrel who is enjoying our outside buffet of corn and seeds. I bought a bird feeder in the fall, but no one uses it. The squirrels, doves, and blue jays prefer to picnic on the ground.

Well, back to this slide deck. I think I may have about 1/2 the presentation done. Maybe if I slide in a few short videos that will help…..🤣
well, ummmmmmm, yah, I guess I better come up with something witty to put in this spot since everyone is reading it.......

and slip on shoes. It hurts to have anything shoved on.
or PJs , soft socks and slippers that slide on.
It has been 3 tough weeks, but the knee was affecting my activity and cortisone is not an option. Before pulling the trigger, some things toprep.

Grab bars in the shower and toilet which is best if elevated.
A recliner you can sleep on or rent a hospital bed.
A good rolling walker and cane.
Easy to remove sweat pants

All good ideas, Bill. I'll add a chair IN the shower, that was something that helped E.

Aloha, from Vacationland. Probably end up with about a foot of fluffy snow up here, and so cold and windy out.

When Jim had OT and PT one of the things they needed to "check off" was that he had a shower chair. We used a straight-backed (in other words, NOT an Adirondack style) plastic one. We have 6 of those, purchased years ago, for when we host neighborhood gatherings! It was approved! 🙂

A funkhouse9 sighting?! :wench:

How are you, Jeff? Almost afraid to ask how big those kids are. :o
(I'm replying here in the MSC instead of cluttering up the announcement post with my nonsense.)

Hey Nancy!!! I still lurk here and there. I need to get better about actually joining in on the conversation more often.

The kids grew up fast. Annabelle will be an adult in under 2 weeks. She's had a boyfriend for roughly a year and a half. Applied to 4 colleges and got accepted to them all. Leaning toward Loyola in Baltimore. Sabrina just got her learner's permit. 16 is right around the corner. She secretly talks to boys at night and seems to think we don't know. They're both as "teenage girl" as it gets. Not sure if I'm going to make it through the teen years, but the end is near. Everett is 10 and he's the little buddy I didn't know I needed. His plan is to be a New York Yankee when he grows up. I've explained that there are other ways to disappoint his family, but that's the method he's aiming for.

Anything new or exciting with you these days?

Maybe it's because in spite of all the work we do, it's the child in us we really value.
