The Ringers are not superstitious but we know folks who are.
Anyway....surgery went fine yesterday. No pain (yet) but I took a Percocet before bed last night (at 11) so I could sleep. Apparently, it must have been opposite night because I was awake between 2-4 then fell asleep until 7:30. Still no pain and am happy that all of my fingers now have feeling (permanent numbness can be a permanent issue in this type of surgery).
There's nothing on our calendar today except I may join a few neighbors for a walk at 6:30 (if my physical day goes well).
Good morning Linda. Glad to hear the surgery seems to have gone smoothly.
I'm not superstitious either. I played softball for 36 years and I was #13 for 34 of those years. One year the guy who ran the team decided to get new uniforms and didn't ask the rest of us what number we wanted, I got stuck with #7. The other time was when I played on the firm's team. We just had T-shirts, not full uniforms. One year they didn't order #13 so I was #3.
Got another heated blanket recently and it's wonderful Now I've got two. I was bundled up last night on the sofa... temps suddenly dropped back into the 30s after that one 70 degree day.
Have a wonderful Friday the 13th!!
Jerry...from Massachusetts. I'd like to go where it's warm!
TGIF even if it is Friday the 13th.
Youngest daughter and son in law invited us to go to their house for dinner tomorrow so I'm looking forward to that.
Still no news regarding being able to move forward with the sale of my dad's house but we have an appointment next Wednesday to meet an auctioneer at the house to see what they think they can sell from the stuff left....
It's a little cooler today than the last few days. I'm at one of the local breweries and I'm having a bowl of chili with my beer. They make it with their porter, it's pretty good.
Well, except for a few things I'm saving, E's desk is cleared off. Still will have dust it a little (donating it), but I never thought I could see JUST his desk again. That was the biggest cleaning chore I had.

I had a roll top desk that turned into a big junk closet. It was an effort to clean out for sale.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

On the desk, below the desk, it was everywhere... BUT - I knew E wrote a book years ago, he shared chapters with me via email, and I found the actual typed original. Sigh.
It's snowing in Seattle and I guess the good news is that I'm not there.
However, being Friday the 13th, I am here:
They're calling this a "Kona low".... by any other name a tropical cyclone.
We're supposed to fly home tomorrow, but the forecast is even worse tomorrow; it might make for an interesting day....
It feels weird being the same age as old people….

Had dinner with Danielle - who is an HR associate with E's company. She's been a world of help to me with benefit crap. I just learned E's stock distribution will be in early July, and I can sign up to have the fund deposited directly in the new IRA I've opened for all of his benefits and my IRA, too. Everything in one place, and I'll avoid a lot of taxes.
