Oceans of Time Will Wash On By Monday @ the MSC

Post by SMLCHNG »

Good morning all! :)

Up early today as I drove Sarah to get her Botox treatment for Migraines.

Back home, and now it's time to start packing again.

That's all from here...

I had migraines for 25 straight years - long before Botox was even a treatment thought. I originally had some type of drug that I melted under my tongue. Until I took 1 at work, promptly went to the bathroom, locked myself in a stall and was, apparently, having a conversation with "someone". My coworkers got me out and drove me home. Didn't take that drug again.
After that I just got demorel injections at the dr's office and then stayed 30 mins each time to make sure I was OK to drive myself home.
Next up was Emetrol self-injections. 1st one I tried myself ran down my leg bc I anticipated the "stick" and pulled away. Kevin or a co-worker shot me up after that as needed. Happy to say I no longer get Migraines.

Hello Penny & all other patrons of the MSC.

I had planned on 9:30 chair yoga this morning but we wanted to get the house back to "normal" after hosting Easter dinner yesterday. We had an unexpected guest so we had to add another chair (totaling 11 people) around the table. It was awesome !

Later today I will take a girlfriend to a dr appt for her to get a steroid hip injection (her first).

Other than that we've got nothing going on.

Have a fantastic Monday !

Wow, Linda. Your migraine experience sounds awful. :-? Sarah has had them for years... she also does a home injection and the Botox - it really HAS helped her, so she doesn't have one every single day.. More like once a month.

Funny - we both took people to the doctor today. :D

No live versions of this one....

Spring is here in the Upper LH Corner! We're supposed to see our first 70° day of the year.
Like Kevin says, sunny and warm is the way I like it....

That's wonderful, Mr. SPH. :D Thank you.

So I just got back from the eye doc... my left eye felt like there was something in it, even after several doses of eye drops. Apparently my eye was open all night while sleeping, so it's all dried out. I was concerned there was something wrong with the cataract lens. WHEW!! So I got an RX for a steroid eye drop, and a gel type eye drop for night time. :)

Speaking of oceans and washing away, we have had rain since Saturday morning. Lots of flood warnings and several roads and lawns underwater or washed away. I still gave a little water seeping up through a crack in the basement floor, but I am fairing way better than others. My sump pump is working overtime, though. Bought a replacement that sits nearby just in case I need it.

Counted today and I have 44 work days standing between me and summer vacation. 43 and one hour if you really want to get technical 🤣

Well, back to writing this report—I have been avoiding most of the day…that’s how I figured out how many days of work I had left….
well, ummmmmmm, yah, I guess I better come up with something witty to put in this spot since everyone is reading it.......

Currently at at Dr office with girlfriend.

I planted about 20 sunflower seedlings in a corner flower bed in the backyard. These are called “Mammoth”. I had them in PA and loved them. The heads get about 12” in diameter and they are absolutely stunning.

I also had African marigold seeds from last year’s plant which popped up after we first moved in. This variety gets like a bush and they are about 16” high. Kevin made me stop bc he said I’d make my knee worse with all the up n down. He’s right so now I’ll need to finish tomorrow. If it doesn’t rain.

Don’t ya just get tired of “adulting” when there’s homeownership issues. 😢. Seriously I hope you don’t run into any major problems!

Hi there! Gas jumped 20 cents at 2 stations in town, but one was still cheaper. I boped the price wouldn't increase until after I filled.

Penny, that is weird about your eye! You have enough irons in the fire, so top it!

MJ, would a dehumidiier help? I have one to run several hours a day inmy wet basement.

We grew nice sunflowers years ago in a garden, Linda. I tried starting somme 2 years ago and they didn't even sprout.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Good evening ladies and gentlemen.

The Vegas Golden Knights fired their coach a little over a week ago with 8 games left in the season. The NY Islanders fired their coach yesterday with 4 games left in the season. The guy the Islanders hired as their new coach used to coach Vegas. He was fired after the 2021-22 season. His replacement was the guy Vegas just fired.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here

I saw that... Cause Patrick Roy used to be the Avalanche Goalie in their winning years. :)

Woo hoo! 72° right now, but they're saying 56° tomorrow....

Premium was $5.799 at Costco today. Absolute BS, our crude comes from Alaska and Canada and the cost of it has not changed a cent in the past month. The oil companies use tRump's Iran War as an excuse to jack up the price of their fuel products. Their cost has not changed but their price has... watch for record profits in their year-end reports.

I couldn't agree more. It's a lot of BS and price gouging.

Ours is hanging around $3.59 here but over $4 for our kids in PA.
