Follow In My Wake WEDNESDAY@ the MSC
Good morning BN. I have had slow boats and often rode the wake of faster boats to gain speed. It is motorized surfing.
Ut;s 15 outside, but it will hit the 50's later.

If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Hey Everyone!
We have sun but our 5' tall wind spinner in the garden bed is going crazy
.
Not much going on today other than helping a friend clean up her garage at 3:00. Kevin will take a load of carpeting and padding to the dump for her. She had all her builder grade carpet replaced with LVT. First we need to unload all the beach equipment that stays year-round in the back of his Pilot.
I have a few things on my to-do list for today which I'd like to get done while the weather is a little cooler.
The Cooper's Bluff newest drama is a dead goose found floating upside down in one of our ponds. Seems this is rather unusual (if it was one of our gators it would have been rolled and now laying at the bottom or dragged off into the wooded area near the pond). Our Mgmt company is asking for any videos or info from the community. One of the kids across the street is notorious for throwing things at/hitting, chasing, and yelling at the geese. Wouldn't surprise us at all if he is involved

We'll barrel roll into the sun, just for starters
My favorite soup.....
Follow in my wake, you've not that much at stake
For I have plowed the seas and smoothed the troubled waters
Come along, let's have some fun, the hard work has been done
We'll barrel roll into the sun, just for starters
One of my favorites.... it's hard to believe this album was released nearly 31 years ago (August 1, 1995).

Good morning.
The Pelicans won again last night, the winning pitcher was Mark McGwire's son. He pitched for the Pelicans 2 years ago and wasn't very good then he missed all of last season. They never gave a reason for him being out but it was probably Tommy John surgery. With last night's win his lifetime record improved to 2-10.

GOOD MORNING ALL!!
More packing.. I'm getting close! I'm down to a few things in the hallway that were on bookshelves, the kitchen (pantry, pots/pans, drawers) and clothes in the bedroom. Also have to run up to an UPS store so I can scan a document to close the last of E's accounts. (I don't have a scanner at home).

It's 70 and sunny here. I just ran to UPS and got a document scanned to a thumb drive. Cost me $2.00.
Saw my favorite maintenance guy and a front office guy who helped me get the new apartment, who recently moved to a new property. Nice to visit.

Re: Follow In My Wake WEDNESDAY@ the MSC
Hi there! Over 20 years ago a casual friend gifted me with a lamp that was made to look like a fishing rod. He got it at a yard sale. His 12 year old grandson loves to fish. I saw the friend at Walmart and asked him if I could regift the lamp( ( he had forgotten the gift). He was fine that I wane=ted to do that. I then said I wanted to give it to him so he could give it to his grandson.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Well, I only have 2/3's of hanging clothes in the closet to put in wardrobe boxes - I'm amazed at how much fits in those boxes! And I've boxed up all of our "us" pictures.

It's almost embarrassing that I have a lot of hanging clothes compared to Anne.

Great title today...
Barometer Soup is one of my top albums.
Jim & I have about the same amount of hanging clothes... I ~may~ have more because my side of the walk-in seems more crowded!
Getting close Penny! It sounds like you are right on target with your prep, too!
So... Jim & I went to Best Buy and replaced both our laptops today... basically wiping out our tax refunds!
I will be busy in the next few days setting mine up...
He's on his own!

Re: Follow In My Wake WEDNESDAY@ the MSC
I'm getting there!! I think I have more boxes than stuff (I hope) to finish the packing. I have more clothes that will fit in mine and E's suitcases, so I can fit other things in them. And enough boxes for kitchen stuff/food... and 5 coolers for the food!! Good luck on the laptops! I've been spoiled, that I don't know I could set up a new one without help from E or Cameron..Caribbean Soul wrote: April 8, 2026 7:36 pm Getting close Penny! 1: You are WAY MORE than just "getting there!"
and
2: With all you do as a Moderator here, and did in your old "real" job, I am sure you can handle a laptop set up on your own!
