Oh my ---- no one here yet -- I put on the coffee but it's almost time for lunch drinks .
We finally got some rain yesterday but not enough to make a dent in our drought conditions.
Off to Book Bingo & Chair Yoga at the library but that's not until later this afternoon. I may go early and try to shelve some books -- still need to take it easy as my hand still bothers me sometimes.
The last Wed of each month is a dinner with our (every Wed night) church bible study group. The food is picked up by one of our pastors and then brought to the church. We've had pizza, Mexican, etc from some locally owned restaurants. Last night was from Carrabba's (we've never been). It was sooooooo good
Kevin & Scott just fixed the flat on our Honda Pilot. Turned out to be a 10-min job .
No hockey tonight, game 5 of the Carolina-Montreal series isn't until tomorrow night.
I was wrong about something I said yesterday. Tampa Bay didn't win their first Stanley Cup in 2006, it was 2004. The Hurricanes won the Stanley Cup in 2006.
Hi there! I went to the gym and we meet Anne's cousin in from Indiana this afternoon. She and her husband have seen Buffett in their state. Other than that. I have not much to talk about.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

So, the lead maintenance guy (who has been SO nice to me) just rang my doorbell, and had a new stove for me. It's still electric, but has the coils that I prefer to cook on, instead of a flat glass top. That was very kind of him to look for one for me. (he knew how much I hated the flat top stove).
We're currently near Hagerstown, Maryland head to see Bryan's sister in Delaware. It's been a beautiful day for a road trip. The scenery is beautiful. We're going to stop at some point probably around Annapolis and then finish the drive tomorrow.
Happy Thursday Trails To You.
So, I just made some cookies. Yes, me. I hate baking. However, this recipe has been in the family since my sister was in Home Ec in 1973. It's a cake mix, chocolate chips (or whatever you want to add), one egg, a 1/4 cup of (WAS Crisco) coconut oil, and 5 tablespoons of water. Mix, and bake the cookies at 350 for 13-15 minutes. Easy peasy. I'm giving MOST of the cookies to the maintenance team to thank them for installing the new stove.

What?! Our in-house sports encyclopedia was wrong?! Oh, the humanity!

If I had to guess, I'd say your awesome maintenance guy made 2 people very happy with that swap! I love my glass-top range. I have to think the other tenant would be thrilled to get one as a replacement for a coil cooktop, especially for free!
Oh, and regarding your reply on yesterday's thread: The Bee-guy never did make it here yesterday but came early this afternoon, so it's all good!

I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken...

Cameron is the same way as I am... he'd love to have a coil one. But also, whoever has used this cooktop has scratched and dented it. It bugs the heck out of me. They'll probably put mine in storage for someone's that may break.
SO glad the bee guy showed up!! I know bees are good, but I hate things (of all kind) that fly and buzz...

Hello all! Finally Friday's Eve, as JD Spradlin always says
It has been great t shirt weather over here! Just how I like it. Windy, a bit warm, and sunny. In Other News... My trips to the local gas station have increased. I'm trying to have EVERY non alcoholic Arizona Tea out there. It's only been two days: Fruit Punch and Grapeade. I usually just stick to Green Tea, but the other flavors are awesome.
Have a great Thursday night, everyone!
Jerry...from Massachusetts. I'd like to go where it's warm!

Go figure! That would make it difficult to use and keep clean, so I can get why you wanted the swap... but DENTED?! How the heck did some even do that???!!
On a completely Unrelated and very sad note...
I just read that Claude Lemieux passed away today... an apparent suicide... he was only 60...
he was just at the game in the Belle Centre the other night...

My guess is dropping something from the overhead microwave.
And yes, I saw that about Claude Lemieux... VERY sad. He played for the Avalanche when they won their first Stanley Cup in 1996..
