Sing Along SATURDAY@ the MSC
Good morning BN. Any favorite songs you sing along? For months during a stressful time, I played I Wish Lunch Would Last Forever at night to calm me.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Good morning Bill and BN!
I can listen and sing to a lot of Jimmy's songs, just not "Bubbles Up" yet.
Doing some laundry and packing today. Dog sitting at my sister's starting tomorrow late afternoon and I'll leave on Thursday.
Tomorrow spreading some of E's ashes for his birthday tomorrow.
That's all I got today. Beautiful sunshine and about 80 today.
Have a good Saturday!

Re: Sing Along SATURDAY@ the MSC
Good Morning Penny & Bill.
We have NOTHING on our schedule today and so far (since I've been up at 6:40) I've done NOTHING. Well, I did some on-line banking while intermittently watching the circus across the street for a little bit (kids running amuck, dog running amuck, and lots of screaming.).
It rained overnight & is dripping now. We've actually had our irrigation system off for the last 3 days. The type of grass we have, "centipede", can withstand the heat and since it grows sideways (rather than deeper) it doesn't need as much water. The problem is we had a fairly large area of sod installed on the side yard that DOES need watering. But we've been doing that section with shorter sprinkler sessions. So far it is growing well.

Hello Bill, Penny, Linda, and SPH!
Conky Tonkin' is one of them. I hated that song because RM played it a thousand times on my drives to the hospital. Now I love it...it's a great driving song! Morris' Nightmare, though I can never get the lyrical timing right. There's a few more for me: Bank of Bad Habits, Gumbo, Piece of Work
King of Somewhere Hot is in my top 5. It's "off the beaten record" and the Anguilla recording is great
I really love King of Somewhere Hot!

Good afternoon.
I don't know who to root for in the Stanley Cup finals. The Hurricanes are my "local" team, even though Raleigh is about 180 miles away, but I've been a Vegas fan since they joined the league as an expansion team in 2017. Maybe I'll root for the Hurricanes, Vegas just won the Cup 3 years ago and the Hurricanes only Cup win was in 2006.

Those are my “calm down, Mel” songs.
Virtually every JB song is my favorite sing along song, but top of the list has to include Pasagoula Run and Moneyback Guarantee.
Amy sure shines on this one!

I thought you had said that before... but I then felt I must have been mistaken, since you use it for your signature line...SMLCHNG wrote: May 30, 2026 9:53 am I can listen and sing to a lot of Jimmy's songs, just not "Bubbles Up" yet.
I enjoy hearing it and will sing along sometimes, but mostly I just listen to Jimmy, as I think it is one of his best vocals, along with his version of "Pacing the Cage"
I have no dog in this final... but I am glad for you since you like both teams, so it's a win/win for you!LIPH wrote:I don't know who to root for in the Stanley Cup finals. Jerry - somehow I missed your Acadia post yesterday. That is a beautiful place! ENJOY!!
And we had some "excitement" this afternoon, a little after 2 PM, there was a REALLY loud BOOM and our house shook!!
I was texting my neighbor when she called me... then came to find out it was heard in locations as far apart as northern Rhode Island and Cambridge Massachusetts! Apparently this was the source:

I can't listen to Bubbles up when it comes to E's memory, he was a diver for many years.. and it still made me cry when listening to it and thinking about Jimmy. But I was 'honoring' Jimmy with my sig line.Caribbean Soul wrote: May 30, 2026 6:21 pm I thought you had said that before... but I then felt I must have been mistaken, since you use it for your signature line...

Re: Sing Along SATURDAY@ the MSC
That was mine and my neighbor's first thought as well... We were both glad NOT to have heard any accompanying crashing sounds like a house or car being struck. But when the town FB page had people from the other end reporting hearing it too, along with friends or relatives even further-flung, we knew it was NOT a tree falling in the woods! We were both just relieved it was not a house explosion.parrotinparadise wrote: May 30, 2026 9:38 pmHeard that too!
