Good morning all!

Last day here at my sister's house. Been a nice stay. They should be home around 1:00, then I'll leave to run some errands before getting home.

Have a good Thursday!! :)

Good morning Penny.

I have the 6 month maintenance on my plumbing, heating and a/c today. It's usually in April and October but we were halfway through May and I realized I never got a call from the office to set up an appointment. I called them and today was the first available appointment. It will be a wasted day, the window of opportunity they gave me is noon-5:00.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here

Hello Penny!

I'm glad you got a break from unpacking and were able to relax a little while dog sitting.

Good Morning Larry!

I heavily use my phone reminders for stuff like this -- between Kevin & I we would never remember anything :).

Good Morning Everyone!

The sun is shining and it looks like it will be a nice day. Kevin is in "cleaning mode" which for him is vacuuming and floor mopping. We'll start to gather our stuff for our "Dulcimor Gathering" weekend in Fancy Gap, VA. Will leave around 9 tomorrow and return late Sunday afternoon.

Enjoy whatever you've got going on today.

On Tuesday I called one of my doctors' office ‘cuz I was past due for my six month follow-up (haven’t seen him since September.) The scheduling person said that I had to talk directly to his nurse but she wasn’t available. They said they’d leave her a message and she’d call me back. They said I could schedule an appointment online, so I went to their webpage and saw that his next available appointment was October 8th.
I didn’t hear back from his nurse, so I called again yesterday and was told that they’d leave her another message, but it might be four or five days before she got back to me. :o I think I’m gonna get myself a new doctor.

I get some of my prescriptions through my local CVS pharmacy and some through CVSCaremark mail order. I have a refill coming up that was going to cost $225 at CVS and so I checked online at it was $0.00 for the same 90 day supply through mail order. I did some quick mental math and decided that it would be better to go the mail order route and so I called CVSCaremark to get the Rx transferred to them and the Customer Service Agent said that I needed to go to the pharmacist at CVS and have them switch it over.
So I went to CVS yesterday and the pharmacist said that I couldn’t switch it, that the CVSCaremark pharmacist had to call her to make the switch. I explained that it was CVSCaremark that told me that I had to talk with her (the CVS pharmacist) to get it switched. She said no, that she had to talk directly with the CVSCaremark pharmacist “for privacy reasons”.
“What privacy reasons? The prescription is for me and I’m asking you to switch it over to mail order!”
She didn’t have an answer, just “privacy reasons.” Anyway, I went back home and called CVSCaremark again and asked them to call CVS to switch the Rx. Sheesh!

I guess it's not surprising that one of my medical issues is high blood pressure....

Sounds like your doctor's office and CVS are staffed by former government workers.
Probably management and middle management types.

Lakes below the mountains
Flow into the sea
Like oils applied to canvas
They permeate through me
And there's that one particular harbor
Sheltered from the wind
Where the children play on the shore each day
And all are safe within
A most mysterious calling harbor
So far but yet so near
Where I see the day when my hair's full gray
And I finally disappear…

This one deserves a twofer...

The a/c guy is here but I'm still waiting for the plumber. Or the plumbing technician as they call them now.

Just made a small batch of vanilla milkshakes :D I should've blended it a bit more, but they're still great!

Interesting connection between Jimmy nd the show McHale's Navy. The captain told the new ensign( Tim Conway) that McHale had run a tramp steamer in the south seas and knew every pirate and REMITTANCE MAN.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.
