Hot Hot Hot Wednesday at the MSC
Morning Kids!!!
Just past 5:30 am here in Michigan and it is a “cool” 73 degrees here. Still under a heat advisory for today. I have a quick meeting at work, then it seems like it will be a great day for indoor reading and maybe another mid day nap.
If you haven’t already seen it, Ray Charles singing “America the Beautiful” at last night’s All Star game was really touching.
Not sure how to post it here, but if you search “Ray Charles All Star Game” and click the link posted by MLB, you can see the Sandlot-inspired video. Made me tear up.

Re: Hot Hot Hot Wednesday at the MSC
Good morning Mel and Debbie!
Mel, that was AWESOME!!!
Thank you.
Got the trash up at the end of the driveway, and I'll go get their mail here in a bit. Dogs are already fed.
I'll run the vacuum today or tomorrow, before they get home. Pups are shedding a lot.
That's it for my day.

Hello Mel, Debbie, Penny, and all else who wander in on this HOT Wednesday....
Permanent Daylight Savings is back on the table. As always. It would be interesting in the winter!

Great. I have a wasp in the house. Saw it on a window, went and got the fly swatter, and it flew away, somewhere.
I HATE them. And don't want it to sting one of the pups.

Good morning. It's Wednesday and that can only mean one thing, senior citizen discount day at the supermarket. Time to go grocery shopping.

I can understand how an extra hour of daylight in the evening would be nice, but I'm not sure about a 9:00 am sunrise here in the northern climes.parrotinparadise wrote: Permanent Daylight Savings is back on the table. As always. It would be interesting in the winter!
Keep cool, everyone!

I'm at Southern Hops Brewing in Murrells Inlet sipping a Myrtle (not Mortal) Combat Summer IPA while I wait for my Cuban sandwich. It's a tasty beverage.

Does anyone remember Tang, the orange flavored powder you mixed with water to make a fake orange drink? This brewery has a hard seltzer called Woooo-Tang. It's flavored with Tang.

Re: Hot Hot Hot Wednesday at the MSC
It was very fun watching the videos from SPH! Thanks so much for that!
I remember Tang—you must be able to still buy it if it is flavoring some beer….i may need to look next time I am in the store just for old times sake.
It is toasty outside here. Even my sun worshipping dog didn’t want to stay outside long. We are enjoying the A/C and ice water. We had watermelon for lunch. Maybe a pasta salad for dinner, that is if I want to boil pasta. Probably not. Maybe a pbj instead….

Today must be my "woooo" day. Driving home from the brewery there was a BMW in front of me and its license plate was WOOOOO. Or maybe it was WOOOOOO. I didn't count the Os.

I googled it, you can get it at Walmart, Costco and BJs, or online from Amazon.PetalMel wrote: July 15, 2026 2:31 pm I remember Tang—you must be able to still buy it if it is flavoring some beer….i may need to look next time I am in the store just for old times sake.

Kilauea Volcano is getting bigger. My sister watches it all the time, and sends me links.

Re: Hot Hot Hot Wednesday at the MSC
I forgot to mention, when I closed my check at the brewery the bartender told me I had $10 in my rewards account and asked if I wanted to use it. I don't remember joining their rewards program but if I have a $10 discount coming of course I want to use it. I always tip based on what I would have paid without any discounts, maybe even a couple of bucks extra since I'm saving money, but I'm not saying no to $10 off my bill.
