I Never Forget to Duck Sunday @ the MSC

Post by SMLCHNG »

Good morning BN!

Having brunch with one of E's co-workers, and then dinner with one of his Family friends (his mother's late best friend's daughter). That's gonna be a lot of food for me, that will probably be leftovers. ;)

Another HOT day here. Hoping for some rain next week.

Have a good Sunday! :)

Hello Everybody !

We were at church this morning for the 10:45 service.

I am collecting food for the "Free Little Pantry" at the library where I volunteer. We put our old beach buggy in the church lobby last week and today it was full of grocery bags of food. The pantry is really low because the kids are not getting their free breakfasts & lunches at schoo. I hope our church family continues to donate all year.

Kevin & I worked with our best friend neighbor couple and got a group of 9 neighbors together for a pontoon boat ride on Aug 8 on the Intracoastal waterway. The waterway runs about 500' from our front door but sits down lower than our property so there is no flood concern. We can see and hear quite a few of the tall boats going by. One of our local swing bridges is just a few block away. We never knew about a swing bridge until we moved here. They are cool until you get stuck in the traffic when the bridge turns for the tall boats. That can hang you up about 15-20 mins. The turn "on demand" so you can get snagged coming and going to your destination.

After the pontoon ride we will head to their house to celebrate 2 of the women's birthdays.

Have a great day everyone !

Good afternoon.

I decided to take my daily walk outside today instead of at the mall. That was not the best decision I ever made. I'm relaxing with a cold beverage now.

Hi there! Zac Brown was awesome! I'm getting old, though. It was too loud and there was a constant light show I could have done without. Our ride to pick us up was slowed by the concert ending with a ball game ending 15 minutes later. Downtown Cleveland was NUTZ!
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Phew! Okay I can breathe again!!
What a nail-biting final!!
YAY for Spain!!
The 1-0 score does not come even close to illustrating their domination today!
And Argentina does NOT tie my "Motherland" of Germany at 4 World Cups... :D

Glad you're happy about the score, Elaine! :)

Just got back from a nice dinner (I wasn't hungry, and couldn't finish even a cup of soup, tho tasty) with Misty. She's the daughter of E's Mom's best friend, Roberta. Today was (late) Roberta's birthday, so we went to her favorite place in Castle Rock, "Castle Café". Great food, and has been at it's location for a zillion years. :) https://castlecafe.com/menu Nothing fancy, just good. :)

Congrats to Spain! It was an exciting match! :D
I do have some sentimental value with Argentina, having made some friends there, but Spain was by far the better team.
