Surprisingly it was Jeannette that first pointed out to me that today was cheeseburger day.
So we'll have some on the grill for dinner.
Did the 110 mile round trip to the gigantic cigar store yesterday. Plenty of tobacco stores nearby but
the deals are worth the drive. And the place has two bars inside, pool tables, big overstuffed leather chairs, etc.
To me it's like a mini vacation.
Good Morning Penny & Big John....those that come by for a visit !
A good Cheeseburger sounds REAL GOOD right now! minus the onions like you say Penny
But where to find it is the question We have a place called the Torch Bar & Grill (some filming for the move Semi-Pro was done there) has what's called the Torch Burger. The local historians say it's the best burger in town. I'm guessing they'll be cranking today/tonight! Maybe I either slide by for a take out & grab a stool & have one at the bar
Other than that, TGIF ! We are supposed to have a soaker Saturday that doesn't sound good but it's a Saturday that IS good.
Enjoy your NCD today Gang!
Corona by day, Corona by night, any old time is just alright!
Hi there! I mowed after lunch which was a mushroom Swiss burger. An old breakfast buddy came into the diner and got 3 feet away before I recognized him. He was ravaged by a rare, very deadly form of pancreatic cancer. He had to go to New York city for a new treatment and it worked!
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Why thank you, Penny!
We're heading out to dinner later... and no it will not involve cheeseburgers!
We usually have them a day late, while celebrating Talk Like a Pirate Day on the 19th!

I didn't have a cheeseburger today. I was thinking of going to one of the other restaurants in downtown Conway that's participating in Burger Week but I didn't want to make another 30 mile round trip for a cheeseburger. I could have gone somewhere closer but I decided not to. Maybe next year.
Hockey training camp started this week, I think the season starts in 2 weeks. The Hurricanes had a rookie defenseman from Russia last season. His contract expired at the end of the season, he made about $900,000 last year. The first off-season report on his contract negotiations was he wanted a multi-year contract at $8,000,000/year. The second report was he wants a "change in scenery", asking to be traded without actually asking to be traded. The third report is maybe he'll go back to Russia and play in the KHL, the top hockey league in Russia.
