It Ain't Nothin' But Breeze Sunday @ the MSC

Good morning BN!

Making pot roast/potatoes/carrots for dinner today with Cameron and Sarah coming over. :) He's making some biscuits and dessert.

It's a very cool day today, but it's sunny. 50 degrees now, heading to mid 60's.

Have a good Sunday!! :)

Good morning Penny, and goodbye summer!
Pot roast sounds wonderful!

Flocks of sparrows have been swarming mi casa today. Most likely stopping to feed before flying south. A few neighbors are coming over today to pick some pears and peaches. Peg (neighbor) made some boiled cinnamon peaches out of the ones she picked :D
Jerry...from Massachusetts. I'd like to go where it's warm! :D

Good morning Penny and Jerry.

There's more than just a breeze in the Atlantic. Tropical Storm Fay has formed but the local weather guys are saying it's so far out there that it poses no threat to the U.S. and it won't develop into a hurricane. Which means still no hurricanes this hurricane season, in South Carolina or anywhere else along the east coast.

Hi there! We had pizza for lunch and later we hit McDonalds for a frappe.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

That sounds tasty there, Bill! :)

I have my rosemary and thyme cut up for the stew. I love getting the prep ready for doing the cooking. :)

I've been MIA for awhile, but we've been busy with things happening quickly at the new house! We went out yesterday to see where they staked out the position of the house! The basic shape of the driveway is there with the base layer of chunky stone down! I really wish I knew how to post pictures here, but I'm technically challenged! 🤣
We're still waiting for the insurance refund check so I can cut the final checks and close out the estate account from my dad. But, we're hoping we will have it before the end of the week 🤞🤞🤞I am definitely going to take a trip to Florida next month (after everything is done) to visit my BFF from high school! I'm definitely in need of some relaxation and she's seen me through all stages of life and we have always been there for each other, no matter what ❤️
Doing laundry today and I'm making some Broccoli Cheese Soup for dinner tonight.
Have a great Sunday.

It’s a beautiful last days of summer (on the astronomical calendar) or early fall (on the meteorological calendar) type of day here, maybe one last day in the 70°s before things starting cooling off and the likelihood of rain increases. This is my favorite time of the year… I do hate to see it turn into winter though.
Mmmmm…… pot roast/potatoes/carrots was a Sunday dinner staple when I was growing up. Sunday was always pot roast, pork roast, or fried chicken…. If it was a roast on Sunday, it would usually be hash for dinner on Monday. Memories…..

Are you doing a stew or a pot roast? Like Chef Jean-Pierre always says, mise en place is key!

Back with a little more Jesse....

I may not be able to party like I used to, but if I take a nap, I can usually stay up ‘til dark....

We had pot roast almost every Sunday dinner!! (I used to call it "stringy meat").
Yep, I'm big on mise en place. :D :D And yes, this is for flavoring the broth the meat and veggies cook in, and then I'll blend it up so it can be a gravy. :D
Thank you for the songs!!! :D

No parsley and sage? What would Simon and Garfunkel say?
