MGM pre-party

Post by FINSUPinIdaho »

I was just told by the MGM staff that the theme park will host the pre-party again this year. Seems every year people say that it has been torn down, but apparently not, so lets drink em out of $7 coronas again...

The MGM is having a pre-party from 2pm - 7pm. Tommy Rocker and Conched Out will be playing there. I will pass along any more info as I get it.

What T said! I'll be packing a collapsable cooler in my carry on bag for just that purpose. Hopefully the same will be true this year. 8) :pirate:

Last year I drove my car...I drive to vegas, but a rental works as well....and brought a cooler full of beer.....I was not allowed to bring it into the party area, but was allowed to leave it under the security table. All I had to do was return with a open cup and fillerup! When the cooler was empty, I put it back in the car. I took a cab back to my room and returned the next day to drive it back....saved me much $$'s

And TSITC even shared his beer with the likes of myself!! :D

Furthermore, I think I walked in with a yard of margarita in my hand that I had purchased at the cantina inside the MGM for a much better price than inside the party! 8)

So I think they will be cool!! :D

Last year, we walked into the party area with bottled beer in hand. They only asked that we put it into cups. I suppose you could always leave a cooler in the pool area, since it's close by (though we didn't try that).

Do any of the local beer stores sell cheap coolers, i do not have one that i can bring along with me on a plane. Someone talked about a collapsable one...where can i find one of those (and what do they look like?).

Go to the section of your local KMart, Meijer, or Wallmart that sells coolers, lunchboxes...etc. You should find something there. If all else fails, put a couple garbage bags inside a small gym bag.

After drinking all day at the Key Largo pool, I'm just wondering if I might not be too drunk for the MGM party. I don't think so but I will bring my collaspable cooler full of booze with me just in case.

I had my stash in the trunk in the MGM parking structure...I used a Double Big Gulp cup for margaritas (I made 3 trips to the car during the course of the day) and I refilled it once more for the show (as long as it's not glass you can bring it in!!)....I had no problem bringing a grocery bag with chips and salsa in it...and we also had a Fattburger bag in hand...a great party knowing I had plenty of food and drink without MGM's price markup!! :D

Wow this topic is just filled with great ideas! Thanks guys, looks like I'm bringin' a huge cooler filled with brew and a douple gulp cup to take into the concert! 8)
We used to laugh at Grandpa when he'd head off and go fishing. But we wouldn't
be laughing that evening when he'd come back with some whore he picked up in
town.

I was gonna buy 'em dude, but I couldn't convince my other friend to join us. I already have tix, but wanted some closer seats. Oh well, I'll keep pestering him.
