You may also want to check out Jim Morris. Excellent "beach" music. He has a new CD coming out in a couple of weeks, but his last one is a greatest hits kinda thing called Seafood Platter. Very good CD and I doubt anyone would be disappointed. Makes you want to dig you heels in the sand with brew in hand and soak up some sunshine. Here's the link to his website:

Okay, here's a question... Why can't I seem to find the Key West Margaritaville CD anywhere???
I've looked everywhere for it; Amazon.com, CDnow.com, and every place that I go to that sells CD's. I can remember seeing it in the stores a couple of years ago (why I didn't just buy it then still confuses me!
).
Anybody have any ideas where I can find this CD. I LOVE the M'ville New Orleans CD and I really want to find the Key West version?
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I highly recommend Thongs in the Key of Life and Thongs in the Key of Life II. They are great compilations of Buffettesque artists. I purchased volume one several years ago and it open the doors to hearing a lot of great independent "Trop Rock" musicians like Jim Morris, Sunny Jim White, Jim Hoehn, Brent Burns, Joe Bennett, Eric Stone, Jack Mosley and PHINS. The web site for all these fine artists can ve found at http://tropicaldreams.net I highly recommend you check them out. I also agree with an earlier posting regarding Jim Morris. He is absolutely fantastic. I listen to him more than I do Jimmy. He is a tremendous talent!

The Key West one is out of print...gotta go the Ebay/half.com way...or check a store that doesn't have a high turnover...where I'm at...I can usually find out of print CD's at Fry's Electronics (cause people don't really buy CD's there...so they sit on the shelf for years) --the bigger Barnes and Noble stores that have a music department may have it (they don't sell many CD's either because everything sells for $18.99)Son of a Sailor wrote:Okay, here's a question... Thanks daddymention! Now I know why I've been pulling my hair out trying to find this disc. I'll check around at some of the smaller music stores in my area and see what I can come up with. If not, I'll have to resort to Ebay and hope to get lucky.daddymention wrote: The Key West one is out of print...gotta go the Ebay/half.com way...or check a store that doesn't have a high turnover...where I'm at...I can usually find out of print CD's at Fry's Electronics (cause people don't really buy CD's there...so they sit on the shelf for years) --the bigger Barnes and Noble stores that have a music department may have it (they don't sell many CD's either because everything sells for $18.99)
