you know, for as much as bubba talks about his roots in louisiana, and for how much he sings about the state in his songs, he sure doesnt come here often. he came in 99, and the last time before that was 8 years earlier. anyone else notice the cajuns getting shafted?

You have a good point. That whole area gets very few shows, Alabama like once every 5 years, North Flordia never, and when was the last time he played Memphis. As far as the summer shows go Jimmy is pretty much only playing in the Clear Channel owned venues and tour cities have not changed much in the last 3 or 4 years so unless you have an outdoor amplitheater owned by Clear Channel you're chances of seeing him is pretty slim.

Margaritaville
He did play at Margaritaville a night or so before Jazzfest. You are right though, he needs to come play for the cajuns more often. Hell, nobody comes to Baton Rouge anymore. And this place used to be a hot spot for big musicians. I have to drive to Nashville or Dallas to see any good shows. I think there needs to be a big Amphitheatre around Laplace.

I agree, there are alot of cities getting shafted,he should play a concert every year in New Orleans considering he has a resturant/nightclub there that the people that live in and around new orleans support.
